That's what you said based on your statement, since it we would have the lowest % accepted out of rush, but whatever. I know what you meant, and I was in a fraternity, and I don't think it would be interesting at all actually.

I agree. We would be a lot less defensive if we had been better on the field recently, but that combined with the typical attacks makes us one of the most, if not the most, defensive fan bases.

That's not what I meant. I meant % of the student body, and also % accepted out of rush. Actually meant no harm by this, just saying it would be an interesting statistic (especially considering the Bama "machine") to see how many kids WANT to go Greek vs how many kids DO go Greek vs how many kids DON'T WANT TO go Greek at any SEC school.

I'd assume Bama has the most that want to. Actual #s may be different.

And I realize I've gone totally off the thread here...

Please refrain from using the term "frat", as it clearly shows you were never allowed to be in one

Well it's quite clear who the major douchebag in your frat was with such a made up horseshite elitist claim

Actually RC, fratties hate the term frat. "Would you call your country a count?" that's the bullshite line I hear defending it.

And Fifel Castro REALLY misses the conference expansion board. It gave him a relevant platform to spread the rumors he saw posted on OrangeBloods or ShaggyBevo

Is it just me or does it seem like all of the gay shite is confined to E2, the RVs, and A-Batt and B-Co of the Aggie Band?

Sorry but I know quite a few people in frats that don't give a shite about that at all. My brother was president of Sigma Chi at Tulane and he uses the term frat all the time. I was in one at Austin College and we used it. I've heard it at Texas, A&M, Colorado and Colorado St.

only the real pricks give a damn if you shorten it to frat.

I have no idea how you tell the difference. I know the band members are in outfits that start with A or B, I think. I think E-2 has reveille and are called jocks? And I had a buddy in D2 and they are spider D and say fido?

Most non-regs that aren't legacies don't know very much about the corps

ETA: I figured out RV stands for Ross Volunteer and I know they ride horses

I didn't know any frat guys in my time at A&M. They were damn near ostracized and looked down upon.

All the frat guys I know are from LSU. I defer all frat knowledge from this point forward to anybody that is not me

Ross Volunteers don't ride horses. PMC (Parson's Mounted Cavalry) does.

Big Kat, as a D-2 Dog and a former Ross Volunteer, you're last post made me chuckle. You batted about .500

Is it appropriate of me to say FIDO here?

And D2 seems to be the best outfit. Obviously I have somewhat of a bias with my best friend being D2 c/o '05

good for you.

doesnt change what I said about people who get pissy about saying frat.

if you do, you were likely the kind of person giving Greek life a bad name.

Ok, I'm not going to argue a point like this or say who gives who a bad name. What I was trying to say was that most SEC schools have a huge percentage of the student body involved in Greek life. Your own A&M poster has said Greeks, frats, whatever you want to call them, were "ostracized". That's not the case at most SEC schools. At most (if not all) SEC schools, the corps would be the ones ostracized.

Maybe it's because we don't have other major organizations that would haze (corps, band, etc) so sororities / fraternities are the main "groups" on campus.

Lighten up, Aggie. Being a little brother for so long has made you defensive when you're not being attacked. No need to name call.
