You can't use the NIL for recruiting. I know shite will happen and it's kind of the wild west right now, but there is 1 thing that will get you fricked and A&M appears to be flaunting that one thing.
You don't use NIL to buy players, you give it to the players already on the team, and that lets future players know they are going to be well taken care of.

That article was complete bullshite & gives them way too much credit. There is no way they paid anywhere close to that much and they certainly don't have that NIL structure set up yet. A&M didn't sign these kids on the promise of NIL money down the road, every team did that, they're just paying significant amounts of cash for visits & signatures.

I think they are bullshite as I said above. They can't sign contracts until they get on campus, so seems impossible to me that any money was spent on signing day, unless they are just saying that's what the total will eventually be.
But even your own fans have been saying money and NIL this and that for awhile. There is like 1 rule and it's just you can't be using it to recruit...directly.

Some states allow HS kids to sign NIL deals but they still cannot be tied to signing a scholarship with a particular school.
