One of the most foretelling incidents in aggy history occurred at halftime of their first football game ever, in October 1894 (just happened to be against UT Austin), when the aggys quit the contest, informing the game officials they had no willingness to come back on the field and finish the game. They were down 38-0 at the time.
Their first victory ever was against the team from Galveston Ball High School a few weeks later. Technically, A&M has never lost a halftime and never lost to a high school team.

R Duke

For those wondering. User Randolph Duke’s wife left him for an Aggie after he got into some legal troubles

From that point on he has spent every waking minute rage hating A&M

Some other A&M posters can fill in the rest of the story

If this is true, and you know his name, why have you spent decades trying to find out who he is. Aggie caught in another lie. Go back to cougar high Daniel.

Never heard of him. Sounds pathetic which fits in with their normal MO.

Wrong again but nice try. At least you haven’t quit guessing. And please provide proof of it’s not a lie.

Ok, I'm not defending Tamu here, but I found an article from The Austin Statesman about that 1894 game and there is nothing saying or even suggesting Tamu quit after tu got up 38-0.

I did learn today that tu didn't allow a point in 1894 until the last game if the season, when Mizzou blasted them 28-0.

Understandably, this event has been passed over by "aggy historians" and is strictly forbidden to be discussed by Texas A&M employees, administrators, students, or alumni.

Try Aggie first football game. I’ll see if I can find the original news article and post the link.

How does this shite post get upvotes.

First of all nobody cares about Aggie history. Second of all 1894 smack talk?!

This is just pathetic. This post is more pathetic than a school opting out of a gator bowl to avoid a sure loss.

Did they even know the rules in 1894? I mean Grover Cleveland was President and it was long before the Wright Brothers flew. Babe Ruth was not born yet. I'm guessing sports reporting was a bit limited.

And all those things you listed are closer in date to Aggies last championship than today. Also it proves Aggies have been quitters since the late 1800’s.

Seriously? This is what you bring here, a story from the 1800s.

Here is more recent history....your school lost 6 of their last 7 games and get this.......Kansas beat you at home. Before I tried to shame another school I would at least like mine to be going in the right direction.
