Every other A&M fan can say that Childress is a good pitching coach but ColoradoAg sure can’t
I literally just told you the man is a good pitching coach. Can you even read??? He's not the best ... he also has zero clue when to actually pull a pitcher

Absolutely. The SEC almost got a 3rd passed.

Basically the 3rd can’t recruit off campus, but still makes bank just not directly from the university.

I guess he wouldn’t have to make that decision as a pitching coach.

If you want your ace's arm to fall off he's your man.

He alienates his players and beats morale to the ground. Since he’s not a head coach it shouldn’t be a problem.

Man, there is a lot of garbage on this thread. Childress failed in recruiting, but he absolutely is a top pitching coach. More of an old school guy. He does not abuse pitchers. Have we had some guys get TJ surgery? Yes, everyone does, but none of them were due to overuse at A&M. He took a walk on (Ross Stripling literally just showed up at his office, after already being enrolled and on campus) and turned him into a big leaguer. He was great at developing guys like Michael Wacha who had a certain physical profile, but he also got the most out of guys who weren't 6-4 and throwing gas.

I kind of figured that some big league club would hire him to be a roving instructor in their minor league system, but maybe he just prefers college baseball.

What is hilarious is that LSU fans have talked so much shite about how bad Childress is over the years……now they are trying to hire him. Oh the frickin irony!!!!!!!!

If we were hiring Childress as our head coach this would make a lot of sense but that’s not the case
