Maybe some day my thoughts will change, but right now those bastards can rot in their own greedy, arrogant filth.

And I actually graduated from there.

Undergrad? Grad? I can't imagine not rooting for undergrad school.

That said I was kind of thinking what does Aggie get out of playing yearly?

MBA. Was even president of the student body. Robert Witt (Ex-President, now Chancellor at Bama) was our dean. Spent a lot of time with him, and got to hear his opinions on a lot of stuff. Good dude.

Got myself to where I could root for them if they were not playing A&M, and was even OK with them beating us to keep their chances for Natty alive.

All that changed with the breakup. DeLoss Dodds can rot in Hell.

Fair enough - my masters was a year so I try to root for La Tech

LSU is number 1 though.

I don't see what Aggies gain I would be done with them

I'm of two minds.

I think it would be good for both schools to open the season against one another every year.

On the other hand, right now, playing them helps them more than it helps us, because their schedule sucks and they know it. This is why they have been begging us to play them.

I couldn't care less. If we end up renewing it, so be it, otherwise, meh.

Perhaps but now is not the time.

They need us more than we need them.

It would have to be a home and home, none of this Jerry Jones jerryworld crap. We have enough of that with another team in this conference.

Officals from the BDF would be banned.

Deloss Dodds, Ken Starr and Skelator (Baylor womens basketball coach) would need to made a public apology for fighting our move to the SEC.

We would consider it then.

I’m jealous of your rivalry with LSU. UK had a fun thing going with them before the conference went to division play. LSU fans are the best.

Don't want it to come back because there is no changing their ways, but it will at some point. My preference would be to play them opening game each year and close with LSU each year.

Not regularly, no. Id be more than happy to stomp them in a bowl.

When we made the SEC move our admin tried to keep the game. The SEC offices, as i understand, were more than willing to accomodate us keeping that game. The sips got butthurt & said no, thought we would wither away without them. They even pressured other Texas teams to follow suit. I think this has been proven wrong; our progrsm is trending up imo.

At this point renewing that game is only good for texas, mostly downside for A&M. They are a cancer. Frick them.

I honestly don’t know.
Definitely not now.
Maybe in a decade or so?
Sometimes you just have to stop acquiescing to the demands of a bully.
They said, “no” to the game, then decided, “yes, we need that game now.”

Playing helps us more because our schedule sucks? We have home and homes scheduled over the next decade with LSU, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, and Georgia.
Every one of those programs is light years ahead of aggy.
But y’all keep scheduling Nichols State, Lamar, and UTSA. Exciting stuff.

What? if you understood that they are the trailer park of sports fans, they make how y’all see Bama and Florida fans look like elite society.

I’ll take LSU and some gumbo and bourbon any day over those soy boys

It’s not your non-conference schedule that’s the issue. We all play one decent team, one or two P5 also rans or G5 leaders, and a practice dummy.

It’s your conference. OU is a good game, with lots of great traditions and exposure. Beyond that, it’s a conference of no-names with very little national interest. Doesn’t matter if they are actually good in any particular year. Nobody nationally looks at teams and venues like K-State, Kansas, Iowa State, WVU, or Baylor as having the same attraction as even our lower-prestige teams. Ole Miss, Arkansas, or Vandy can be .500 teams and people will still see the tradition and “event” of The Grove, the Ozarks, or Nashville. SEC and Big Ten have these kind of programs. Big 12 doesn’t. No sizzle.

SEC averages almost 20,000 more people at each game more than the Big 12. Nine of the top 10 in attendance in 2017 came from the SEC or Big 10, and 15 of the top 20.
