It absolutely makes zero sense that Aggie and Texas don’t play annually.

And don’t give me no whining about “but but butty but but the scheduling!” or “we lose money”. If the state is Virginia is for lovers, I guess the whole state of Texas is for pussies.

And after that beat down, does anyone see Texas trying to schedule another SEC opponent annually? Cause I don’t.

7 pts with a chance to score at the end is a beat down?

They play Alabama in 2023 and 2024. I can't decide if Alabama will still be as good by then though. 4-5 years seems like an eternity when you're in the back part of your career like Saban likely is.

I am in the camp that believes it's aTm who is afraid to play. Texas may be a bit paranoid about what a loss would do, but Aggie has full-blown little brother complex.

not defending either side here but i just did:

@ LSU 2020
@ Arkansas 2021
vs. Alabama 2022
@ Alabama 2023
vs. Michigan 2024
vs Ohio State 2025
@ Ohio State 2026
@Michigan 2027

as far out as i could find.

ETA: those are the biggest non conference games on their schedule...they have some smaller Non conference teams every year too...but no Aggies yet.

Plus Texas announced this morning that they are cancelling the upcoming games against LSU and Alabama and just setting a permanent rivalry game with Incarnate Word in San Marcos (neutral site) every year.

Because it's a reschedule of the 2009 game that Arkansas backed out of.
