After seeing how boosters have gone after Harsin, who would be willing to take the AU job?

I’ll preface this by saying I think Auburn is a great place. I - myself - spent a year as a biology major there. It’s a fun college town for students and a nice place to live for grownups.

That said, this booster witch hunt is absolutely crazy. How can it possibly not be seen as a toxic job?

What coach of any worth would think he would match what Harsin did this year? Coaches egos are not defending Harsin at this point.

Finebaum and a guest he had on seemed to imply yesterday that one of Freeze and Jeff Grimes would definitely take it, and that there was a lot more interest than alarmist fans and message boards would have you believe.

A coach with the smell of desperation and possible the taint of past infractions.

Freeze would be a magnificent hire, but he’s still radioactive.

Not sure a school could fire a hc over a sex scandal and hire another hc coming off of a sex scandal.

IDK where you've been, but its increasingly obvious either the sex scandal won't be why we fired him, or it will be among a myriad of reasons.

While true, that is the quality of coach that would be willing to take the Auburn job right now.

They will either go that route or find someone who hasn’t been a head coach before and give them a shot.

The boosters have screwed themselves

It’ll be Freeze and then we will have a year free of Tuscaloosa posts.

Really rhink it has more to do with leverage, all coaches miving forward should demand fully guaranteed contracts

Didn't the boosters want Kevin Steele when they hired Harsin anyhow?

Pretty sure both Malzahn and Harsin have them. They knew “The Creed” and had seen how others had been treated.

So you are taking the hard position that he's done nothing wrong?

Good luck.
If we forget what their football and basketball HCs look like, we can just go in a post office and look on the wall.

No…I don’t know what’s true and what isn’t.
I can just say that it’s obvious that some boosters want him gone and I wouldn’t put anything past them.

Unless being a non players coach, bad recruiter and wanting to run the program his way is wrong, then no. I do not believe Harsin has done anything wrong.

Auburn has realized what everyone else knew last year, they made a terrible hire.

It was probably the only hire they could make though. Who wants to coach at Auburn and be fired in a year or two because they can't compete with Bama and Georgia right now?
