I can just say that it’s obvious that some boosters want him gone and I wouldn’t put anything past them.

I agree and I feel the same. I’m not ready to jump in and defend Harsin 100% because he very well could’ve fricked up

But you don’t know. And neither do I.
Aside from the player issues, he’s run off several coaches and apparently hard to work with. That’s not a fireable (with cause) offense. But that’s certainly an issue in a vacuum.

Obvious someone with a blemished record. Auburn is the college version of Australia: a penal colony

There’s a drunk down on his luck high school coach somewhere.

If AU offers a very long contract and huge salary with an obscene buyout the drunk high school coach might actually think about it. It would be a hard decision though.

Sounds like we got a toxic coach for our toxic job

Auburn didn’t make Tamarrian Parker’s top 5. 4* Phenix City croot. “Auburn may have been his favorite this fall, but not visiting his school until the last day of the contact period didn't leave a good impression with him or his two talented teammates...”

Doesn't show up for a Bo Jackson event, doesn't show up at a GA high school coaches event, and doesn't show up at the high school of a local recruit?

I'm not saying this whole thing makes Auburn look great or even neutral at all, but good lord people need to start seriously criticizing Harsin for getting himself in this situation in the first place more.

Lazy and low expectations in a high expectation conference or did he just give up near the end of the season?

Good point here about Etheridge. Looks like Georgia is after him. See #2.

I'm seriously wondering if this (as in the investigation/his job being up in the air) has been going on for a lot longer than we realize. Maybe he mailed it in near the end of the year and only did the bare minimum to try to finish out this year's class? IDK.

I think the signs point more and more to him being a lazy or just completely inept recruiter, barring something weird like the scenario I laid out.

I take it Etheridge may be the glue holding it together. That correct?

I don't think there is ever just one guy. Etheridge is good but Reed and Cadillac are too.

Based on everything that has been said about his personality and the fact that he has spent all but like 3 years of his playing and coaching career at the top dog among G-5 programs I could easily see him having a "you need us more than we need you" attitude with recruiting. Saban is probably the only coach in the country who can actually say that to a kid and still sign him though.

Yeah I could see that, as well as him maybe just thinking the assistants will handle it or that "Auburn recruits itself".... which it does (or this class would have been in the high 20s-30s in rank IMO) but that doesn't mean you can mail it in and do nothing. Kirby and Saban are great examples of a coach going to a place that does recruit itself AND working hard at it.

Looks like AU missed a golden opportunity to send this guy packing for cause. He refused to get vaccinated which we hear is a requirement for state employees. Others were fired for refusal but somehow this issue just disappeared for Harsin. Others were fired. Why did he get special treatment? Not matter how fair some think this requirement is, AU had a great way to dismiss him without a buy out and they would not have been the first university to do so. Washington fired their bull headed coach because he refused to get the shot

Fake News::: Do not believe everything said on message boards, social media and so called journalist.

Auburn received complaints, Auburn investigated complaints (As they are required to do). This was not booster doing this (They may have fanned the flames). I still think it is 60-40 that we move on.
