Jesus brother, you have been through hell. Sorry you had to go through that, my father died of a heart attack when I was 19. I was the one who drove him to the hospital so I definitely understand some of what you went through. I was lucky and I was able to get back to school within 6 months though and self medicated my way through it all for many years with ridiculous amounts of alcohol and drugs. Much respect sounds like you had it worse.

Maybe he should be charged as an accessory. I’m not a lawyer, but by definition he has to have knowledge that a crime is being committed.

I share a lot of your feelings. While this will sound selfish, this was shaping up to be the best Alabama basketball season in my lifetime and now I’ve just lost interest. What I thought was a tragic situation involving one player has turned into a tragic situation involving at least 3 players. There are a lot of facts we still don’t know, and while I hope Byrne and Oats know those facts and are making decision based upon them, my realistic side knows this ultimately comes down to money and success. While I think the statement released by Miller’s attorney is plausible, I think it clouds some things. Has any of his side of the story been corroborated? I know it was just a preliminary hearing and you can’t put much stock in it, it wasn’t a great way for the public to find out more players were involved.
I sold my tickets to tomorrow’s game, along with the tickets I had to the NCAA tournament games in Birmingham. I’ve checked out on what was a historic season, and that sucks.

I think both Miller and Bradley will be witnesses for the DA, they cut a deal rather than face charges. The DA knows they will have a slam dunk if Miller and Bradley are states witnesses. Millers attorney would be stupid to not make him take the deal given his NBA draft status. That doesn’t mean Miller should still get to represent the University. He committed a crime but won’t face charges for his cooperation. University Admins and Oats have really cocked this up, they took the riskiest strategy possible and all it took was a preliminary hearing to blindside them. Lord knows what will come out during the trial.

Honestly, as an Alabama fan, I'm just tired. I don't know if it's the more recent generation, or the upbringing, or possibly the cost of success, but I am exhausted at these stories being all too common.
You are where I am at. In fact been here for a while.
I'm more than sick at watching athletes beagle to get away with and do things that other students would be kicked out for.
Sick of the NCAA being toothless.
As a Bama alumnus, I feel the exact same way. We all know:
- there was a text
- that he took the gun to him.
- that a murder actually happened.
On Nate Oates:
- we know that either he or Greg is lying. Greg says it's new to him, but Nate says he knew.
If Nate knew and said nothing... he should be fired!!!
If Greg knew and lied, he needs to be fired.
There are more important things than Bama sports.
