Wishful thinking. Texas will destroy this league like the others. There is no cure for cancer.

One could easily argue that the cancer is actually the Negative Nancy's like yourself that are spreading poisonous seeds throughout the land before Big Bad Texas even joins the conference..

Don't worry though.. this isn't aimed at you specifically.. there are a lot of people like you on this board.. it's actually very similar to Biden's campaign.. where throw so much shite against the wall that some of it is bound to stick, even when it isn't supported by any facts.. and before you know it.. the whole country goes to shite.. but it is all Trump's fault.. right?

A&M and Mizzou and the other schools that haven't done anything that matters in our lifetimes need to drop this 'Texas is a Boogeyman' false narrative and accept some individual responsibility.

we will see people walk on Mars before you see an Ag admit that lmao.

I was referring to the 1 second left in the Nebraska game.

Texas was a huge fish in a tiny little pond in the SWC. They were almost as big a fish in a similar sized pond in the Big 12....Oklahoma being the only other fish of substance in a pond about the size of the SWC. They will be a bigger than average fish alongside about 6 others just as big in a massive fricking ocean in the SEC. I don't know that they are interested in taking over though...they really had little choice in the SWC, they were the only program of substance in the thing. They didn't take over the Big 12 because Oklahoma was well established and nearly as big a fish.

If Deloss was still here i'd question that myself...but CDC is a very different AD. He's made it clear that we're just one of many and we want to do whatever we can to make it a better league. The ags will continue to look for the boogey man under the bed but there's not much we can do about that.

Still waiting for an aggie to admit their part in the big 12 blowing up. Just one. Come on ags..there has to be ONE of you that can admit your role in unequal revenue sharing.

And as a side effect.. the LHN destroyed the PAC..

No, the PAC 12 Network destroyed the PAC 12.

Think about it - why would you demand that carriers in a market where the vast majority of citizens don't care about college sports carry SEVEN networks for a conference that is losing viewership instead of joining with a major network to distribute, like the Big Ten did with Fox or the SEC and ACC did with ESPN?

Out of curiosity, why do you think that the LHN was a bad deal for ESPN? Because they had to pay $15 million per year for something that no one watched?

$15 Million in rights plus $26 Million per year in programming expense . . . .ESPN had run up losses to the tune of $50 Million in the first four years of the deal and then stopped breaking it out. They continued to lose subscribers from then on and the LHN ratings never improved, so it was a huge black hole. The network was lucky it was killed as part of the SEC move.

The SEC's greed has ruined the conference. The SEC didn't need Texas or Oklahoma.

People say this but that is not really the truth. Maybe in the late 1970s that made sense, but at the time Texas was a very mediocre football team with little national draw.

Sure they had history, but this was the era of the Florida Teams and Notre Dame and Nebraska and Tennessee.

This was the pre-internet era and before the explosion of sports media revenue. The SWC basically had the Raycom network and bunch of highly uncompelling games in tiny stadiums. The one time they got it rolling was the Shock The Nation Tour, and that ending with a historic battering at the hands of Miami in the Cotton Bowl. Even Oklahoma was down on their arse then working through the John Blake era, diminishing the appeal of that matchup.

There was very little excitement in any of the SWC at that time.

Well, it is Farrell, he of the whopping 279 views and 7 likes.

Got to give him credit, he knows about QBs, though.

I have degrees from both universities. Bowen Loftin is not a candyass upset about being insulted.

He made a good business decision to disassociate from an organization that habitually lied to him.

That is what happened.
