I honestly thought the discussion should have been between Miami or Ole MIss for the final spot but in retrospect, maybe BYU should have been given some more love.

You think the head-to-head outweighs the other two losses by ole piss???

I bet if ole piss had losses to LSU, Arky and OU while USCe had their losses to LSU, bama and OM........ you think you'd still be the better team because.of the head-to-head??

You should open your eyes.

That head-to-head isn't always the deciding factor slick.... you gotta look at the losses.

Deboer nor Milroe deserved the playoffs.

Quote me where I said that? I included them but haven't mentioned them because they had two unforgettable losses that outweigh any single win.

So it doesn’t matter if we beat them? That doesn’t matter? Like, for real?

Reading isn't difficult. I didn't say they deserved the playoffs. I said "had any SEC got that 12th spot, it should have been USCe".

If you have losses that are worse, then no. Ask yourself... if OM lost vandy, moo state and LSU while USCe lost to OM, TX and UGA. Who's the better 3 loss team?

Calm down Nancy I’m not attacking your statement. You don’t have to live your life on defense. It’s 2025. Reset yourself.

Ole Miss absolutely dominated USC at USC.

27-3

And, it wasn't even that close.

Ole Miss is the best 3 loss team in the country, not just the SEC.

USC isn't even a consideration. Because they got blown out, at home, to Ole Miss.

Just keep drinking buddy.

I’m not an expert in bourbon-induced SEC Math/Logic but in most places, if 2 teams finish with identical records and team A had beat team B’s arsses by 24 points in a head to head match up, team A would have the clear edge in any tie-breaker scenario.

This. Beat the Gamecocks in their own house too.

Also, I know that no team that made the playoff would have wanted to see Ole Miss or Miami with the firepower that these teams have. I understand why SMU got in, but I could definitely envision a scenario where the Rebels or Canes did some damage had they gotten in.

The team that absolutely destroyed LSU on their on field is definitely no good. Says the LDU fan

Illinois is the best 3 loss team in the country. 2 losses to PSU and Oregon, 3rd to decent Minnesota. Beat S. Carolina. Didn’t lose at home to a 1 loss team like Ole Miss. As we’ve found out during bowl season, the SEC just wasn’t that good this year.
