Now THIS is a good post.
I think if he was really the a-hole some fans make him out to be, he wouldn't be retaining good players, and he wouldn't have former players who keep in contact with him and speak highly of him.

I actually got stuck in an airport with Miles the summer before the 2007 season. He had his entire family there. It was cool seeing him interact with his kids. He tossed a football with them, had to quietly fuss at one of his sons for knocking down his little girl, and looked like he was talking to his eldest daughter about something in a book she was reading.
If I hadn't recognized him he could have been any dad traveling with his family. I didn't want to bother him, but when we got on the bus to take us out to the plane finally he sat right next to me, so I couldn't resist. We had a nice conversation and my wife played a little game of patty cake with his little daughter (who was adorable).
So yeah, I'd rather be stuck with Miles.
