Don’t we have the NIL so players will have money in their pocket since they’re not able to have an actual job?

I guess a little drug dealing was going to be ok, right?

Interesting statements from his two most recent coaches:

Nate Oats said the weed was in the wrong place at the wrong time….

Bruce Pearl said he still felt like a father to Aden, so he would get him an assistant coaches job….

One pound of weed is a hell of a lot.

Look, I don't do weed or its related products and generally associate those who do with trailer parks and section 8 housing.

You think people that consume or smoke cannabis are by default poor? Lol

It seems like your idea of weed was learned from "Friday" or "Half Baked" or any other '90s era movie where people sit around, don't work and get fried all day long. Sure those people might exist. But so do poor people who drink alcohol. What about all the dudes rolling out of Circle K with a 40 in a brown paper bag? Are they the same as the guy buying an $80 bottle of wine at dinner?

It's 2026. Marijuana is widely-used as an alternative to alcohol now. A lot of veterans use it. It has proven to have a pharmacological benefit.

I'm not a regular user, but I partake now and then. I'm not poor and know plenty of people that use occassionally that are also not poor. These people are in many good jobs: app developers, marketing professionals, electrical engineer. None of them live in a trailer park that I know of.

Not trying to convince you to use, but if you're a drinker and throwing shade at marijuana users that's pretty funny.

If he was selling weed, which would justify the felony, then why is there no mention of plastic baggies, scales and guns?

These things run hand in hand with dealers.

I’m thinking he buys a pound so that he can cut down on the number of visits back and forth to the “dopeman”.

That could be true, but at least it acknowledges I own a home and don't live in a trailer park or need government subsidies.

Most likely under the catch-all of "paraphernalia."

If my math is correct, a pound of weed would get me high for around 15 1/2 years.

What does this do for his NBa future?

NBA would rather their players smoke a bunch of weed instead of getting drunk at a club.

But distribution is another story. I think it'll hurt him a little bit, but not end his career or prospects by any means.
