Win/loss column says we're tied. There is no tiebreakers to decide regular season champs. Only a tiebreaker to decide who gets the #1 seed.
The SEC doesn't give out any awards that say 20XX SEC #1 Seed.

Yes but in football LSU went to the SECCG and were they not the #1 seed? Meaning OM was 2nd best both times?

Doesn't matter per the SEC.
Like I said.....the trophy just says "Champions". It doesn't say 2003 Western Division Representatives.

One is the SEC Champion and one is the SEC Tournament Champion. The NCAA is going to give the auto-bid to the tournament champion because its part of the post-season play. I'm not really sure what you are talking about with the above and below part.
That is the rational way to look at it, I didn't realize people took the tournament champions to be the actual SEC champion for the season. Seems pretty stupid to me
I'm talking about the way the SEC and every other conference interprets it. All postseason championships trump regular season championships. This is obviously much more simpler but if Team X went undefeated in the SEC in football but lost in the SEC Championship Game to Team Y who wasn't undefeated, who is the SEC Champion?
It's the same thing in other sports just on a larger scale tournament instead of an one-on-one title game. The tournament champion is always recognized as the champion of the conference.

this is true. It's technically LSU's trophy and we're keeping it.

Why has no one commented on the "smart, talented coaches" part of that ad? To me that's the real dig.
