Courts dictated long ago that all public universities in Mississippi must have the same admittance standards, the standards used by the HBCUs in state.

My niece just graduated from Ole Miss and started Dental School in August. Just because they accept a lot of people, doesn't mean that they don't also have programs with good academics there.
On a sidenote, I was accepted to the Pharmacy program at Ole Miss in the early 90s, but took a different occupational route and got my graduate degrees at UT instead.

True, but acceptance rates are different than admission standards. They don't have to take everyone that is qualified, no?
