That would add the Dallas and Ft. Worth market to their cache', plus good academics.

Desperation at its worst. Nothing against SMU but this is square peg and round hole shite.

Yeah. They'll add anyone who will join at this point. Kind of shocked they didn't go after App State.

Adding Dallas TVs and the academics of the Bay are not what they want you to think it is.

This is more desperate than the big12 adding UCF

The academics (and SMU is not terrible at academics), Stanford and Cal Berkley should surely help with holding on to ND.

Academics are important to ND, and if ACC loses them it will possibly be the beginning of the end for ACC.

I can understand SMU, but two west coast liberal refugees makes no sense.

I wonder why the ACC isn't going after WVU? It's a better geographical fit with some good rivalries.

Once a few teams start to leave, I think they will go after both App State and East Carolina.

WVU is struggling as a university with declining enrollment and huge budget cuts, on top of the state not exactly bringing in any new market of note. Love their fan base’s loyalty and passion but they’re a terrible addition

While I agree WVU wouldn't add much from a marketing standpoint, I would think someone channel surfing in Ohio would be much more likely to stop on UNC/WVU as opposed to UNC/East Carolina.

This is ideal for me as a fan. They will eventually crumble but not before it's too late.

It screams your parents have money and you didn't do well enough in high school to get into a good public school.
