I have been watching a lot of sports reruns. So far the ACC network is doing a better job than the SEC Network, showing better older games. ESPNU not bad.

Yeah, but you have to watch ACC sports.

No kidding. You'd think, at the bare minimum, they would do an SECCG marathon.

How does the sec network not realize nobody cares to watch old softball or regular season baseball games? Stick to football and basketball if you want viewership

Or put that stuff on in the morning and early afternoon and then roll with football during prime time

Also need the ACC Network. I live in VA, and it's not offered by Xfinity.

I tape the Big 10 games and then run them at twice the speed to make it look like an SEC game.

this is the best idea. This way, you don’t completely ignore the baseball/softball/gymnastics crowd, as small as they are, and the prime time sports are in prime time spots.

Show Auburn's run over Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, Kentucky (again), Kansas, and Virginia.

Epic viewing material.

SECN is atrocious. It’s completely half assed. On BTN they have been having themed days. On SECN they’ve shown sports no one watches even when they’re live. All the “classic games” seem to be from within the past three seasons usually just from last season.

If they had days that were themed like “relive the 2013 season,” I’d probably watch while stuck at home. If they wanted to go back to ‘03, I’d definitely watch. It’s like a random algorithm chooses SECN’s programming.

SECN needs a College Flash Classics type show.

I used to love watching abridged versions of obscure games from the 90s and early 2000s with fun facts and interviews from those that were there.

For sure. Instead they show old spring games.

Packer and Durham, two middle aged men talking sports in Packer's basement with their pets running around, is certainly better than any product The SEC Network has on in the morning which a basically reruns till the Finebaum show at 2:00 pm.

Bumping this because the SEC Network has really been bad with their programming choices during all of this. It’s like they left the building, just hit shuffle on a DVR, and the algorithm thinks everyone wants to watch softball.

What a wasted opportunity of a network.

All of this. ESPN has access to an incredible amount of content but they tend to show stuff that is only a coupe years old, instead of editing out dead space like BTN and P12N they just lop off huge chunks of the game, they'll show random blowouts on team takeover days instead of actual important games, or worse just fart out a random regular season softball game that wasn't even between ranked teams and had zero impact on the season.

It's on all of their channels though, not just SECN. I'm sure most of us remember how in the last couple of years for the top 25 CFB games of the season they have put absolutely zero effort in selecting games and will put out something like a Clemson blowout of Duke where there weren't even any individual team records set.

I'm not sure who is making the programming decisions there but whoever it is seems to make the least effort possible to put out a good product when it comes to replays.

It’s some corporate douchebag(s) in Charlotte with no originality that also thinks SEC fans love Marty Smith and 10 hours of Finebaum. I’m sure they could point out that replaying a Tennessee vs. UGA softball game from last year is more cost effective on a Saturday than replaying the 2006 Tennessee vs. UGA football game but it does nothing to draw people to the network and help things in the long run.
