I looked at the series and I can give Aggy a pass for the first 20 games. They were played in either Austin or San Antonio, but 1940-1974? There's just no excuse for that level of shitty football.

Sad?
Pardon me as I wipe the spit-out coffee from my iPad.
Other schools couldn’t give a lick about our fans.
This is nuthin’ more than a troll fest.
I’m good with that.

There are actually several excuses.
But I’m not interested in making ‘em.
It is what it is, and I’m focused on the future.

Ahhh ... fair enough.
(I thought you were referring to the two respective teams involved ... I wondered which of the two you were referencing, that’s all).
As for “fans of college football” ... we’ll get right onto creating our schedule in order to gratify indiscriminate fan bases.

It's funny and sad at the same time.

Aggies know how lopsided the rivalry was. They try so hard to make it seem like moving to the SEC was superior for them "w-why would we want to play them now, w-we're sec now"

But deep down they know, and everyone else, that they're deathly afraid of Texas putting the beat down on them (just look at the historical record) and shattering everything they've told themselves since they've moved. They've built their whole personal on that they're better than Texas. It's how they get other gullible ags to keep donating. They're not about to pull the curtain now.

Threads like this one are always good for taking a gander at users’ posting histories and shining a light on those who are not-so-closeted fans of other teams.

Appalachian State and New Mexico State.....now, there's some P5 teams you'd rather play. We see who you'd rather play.

Pretty sure that Aggie said, don't call us, we'll call you. It's like asking a girl out on a date. When she gives you that response, she don't want to go out with you. And Texas won't ask "her" out again!

A&M offered to keep the rivalry. DeLoss Dodds threw his fit, mostly because we didn't want to go to the PAC 10 with them. 6 years later, now that their home schedule is so crummy, A&M has to oblige?

I don't know a lot of fans, from both sides, that care as much as this board does. It'll come back some day. I mean, OU was supposed to be their true rival amarite?

Yeah, they acted like dicks, but you should schedule them and beat their asses for it. Make them pay.

That or schedule Baylor. That's the other A&M rivalry.

Baylor brought around 800 fans from an allotment of 3k the last time we played them. This was in a year they had a Heisman candidate and ranked. Meanwhile 7 of their top 10 attendances at Floyd Casey Stadium were from games with A&M. The biggest thing they cared about when we left the Big 12 was the lost gate receipts.
