Not really. It is a game that makes sense for both schools and most everyone realizes that. If they do it is out of fun and nothing more.

I never said yall were scared before. Hard to play them if they wont schedule you. But its petty that you wont schedule them because it has to be "on our terms"

Has nothing to do with that. I personally support us playing them again. But this whole site has just done a 180 on this issue because it is US who is saying we don't want to play them and not other way around

No more petty than them saying that their nonconference schedule would be booked well into the future if we left the conference.
No more petty than them refusing to play us until one of our coaches was literally fired.
You want petty, there's plenty of it on both sides, but the majority is in austin.

The Rant has no idea how much money UT and A&M have.
The poster who said had we wanted to and they didn't we would be obsessed with Big Brother.
Here is the deal. Nobody knows how to deal with A&M. A&M beat Bama at Bama and was a wr wrong route from losing again.
LSU is not scared nor is Bama - but Bama and LSU know A&M is grabbing a table at the big boy seat very very soon.
Year 1 and 2 A&M will be in top 6. 3 is crapshoot. 4 and 5 A&M will be running a Spread with all the talent on O and D as LSU and Bama.
Everybody else in the SEC is scared shitless of A&M - especially in the West.
Ags are getting the Texas, OU and West coast studs now.
If you have to lean on Texas to make your own program look good go ahead.
Better yet. Bama - why dont you guys do a 10 year deal with Texas. HAHAHAHAHAHA
No other team in the SEC would risk an 0-1 start more than Bama.
So shut your Kentucky Tennessee fake MNC pieholes

I just hate shitty OOC games. I want a nine game SEC schedule, and I'd like for every team in this fine conference grow some balls and play serious OOC competition. if you really don't want Texas all the time, fine. but for gods sake, play real OOC games. you should be playing and want to be playing teams along Texas' level. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, just something worth putting a feather in your cap.

I agree with playing better OOC games. I hope we do start to get some better games on the schedule once the SEC gets a set schedule rather than this bridge shite.

And you know where I'm coming from personally. I'm very "old army" when it comes to some things, and playing texas was always one of them. Looked forward to it immensely while I was in school.
But the game has changed now, and if you look over the history of the rivalry, texas has always stacked the cards against us and manipulated our rivalry to benefit them and only them. It is NOT healthy for our school, and it's that way because of the way they chose to conduct affairs with us.
I was originally very sad to lose the game. I don't miss it one bit now. I say again: frick them. They can wait until they're worthy of playing us in the postseason to get an asswhooping from us.

What Texas did was lame as frick but I want to see the game played. It would benefit aTm to play Texas more than ags want to admit too.
Yall might as well be the better university and agree to schedule them-if the first game played is in College Station
