Kary Vincent from LSU ran a 10.07 (wind-aided) a couple years ago. Trindon Holiday from LSU ran a 10.00 when he was there. Anthony Schwartz from Auburn ran a 10.06 at one point as well. Jeff Demps from Florida ran a 10.03. Those are the 4 fastest times ever from any dual sport (football/track) athlete in history based on my research. So 10.14 is really fast as well.

10.14 is very fast.

10.14 divided by 2 is 5.07.

Five, zero, and seven.

Gotta love those numbers.

Except Achane is already better than all of them after his first year playing behind an All Conference back.

LSU fans still living in 2019 acting like they didn’t get gang raped by the SEC West in 2020.

And he’s a true freshmen who had a bad start on that 10.14. He has a legit chance to go sub 10 before he’s done.

That's why we take a step back this year. You can't replace an entire vet OL all at once and expect the same level of production. Just not at all likely.

Damn, that's fast. It's cool Jimbo is allowing them to do both. I hope Harsin does the same.

it’s hellla fast. I watched Trindon Holliday and Richard Thompson of LSU blow away the field in the 100M at the SEC T&F championship at Auburn about 12 years ago. It doesn’t always translate to the football field but there’s a reason coaches go ape shite over a 4.2 40. Speed is a weapon.

Speed kills is a saying for a reason.

Look forward to seeing Achane on the field this year. He showed tremendous promise and seems incredibly explosive.

I recall Jekyll and Hyde Tony Brown's 10.12 in the SEC Championships that was only good for 11th place. Amazing how fast some of these kids are

Of which, he was part of a sick DB roster in terms of speed with Humphrey, Averett, and Sylve (10.18 in HS).

Ruggs nor Waddle were as quick at the 100m. That said, football Speed, quickness and ability to change direction are all also factors.
