They averaged around 32 points per game this season which is basically what Steve Ensminger did with a much less experienced LSU team with like two returning starters.

Stevie's offense finished a respectable 37th. The defense was 69th (nice)

A&M had the ball roughly 3 minutes longer than LSU per game and returned a 4 year starter at quarterback, an experienced offensive line, and a supposed offensive genius at head coach and only averaged .6 more points per game than LSU with an inexperienced unit, a cobbled together offensive line, and true freshman quarterbacks.
