No. Bama (or UGA?) would be the SEC Auto Qualifier. It would NOT be an "At Large". So, for example, last season LSU was the Conf Champ and Bama was the At Large. Therefore, IF there were another SEC team ranked #4...THAT team would NOT get the BCS bid. See the difference?

You may be right about that.

I agree with you on your other post though that I think it would be difficult for LSU to jump a one loss team into the top 4, esp if its Oregon.

Most likely, I think UF loses, Bama gets the AQ and goes to Sugar, and the Fiesta picks between us two.

Would be pretty messed up considering we're playing in the Cotton Bowl Kickoff Classic next September.

Not so fast my friend.....although there is precendence for the BCS taking worse teams over better teams out of stupidity. Although I don't see it this year LSU (assuming we win out) is a better team, would travel better, and would spend more money. These things matter.

Not so fast my friend "double down", When UF beats Fsucks. They will get a BCS game over both LSU and TAM because......well, they beat them both.

Exactly.

Texas - Texas AM tradition continues in the Cotton Bowl.

Les Miles craziness trumps JFF...historically.

And A&M is a great academic school........ 1-2 versus currently ranked teams for 2-2 vs teams ranked when played. You can substitute La Tech for Miss State, you are still at 2-2

And ranked in the Top 4 if one of the undefeated teams loses.

Now you know why we were glad to see them go. They claim it was from fear - you don't fear a school you've beaten 76 times. But the domination wasn't only football - it was all sports (with the exception of plowing & saluting).

Back on topic however. For those who say Aggie fans don't travel well, I would say you are wrong. Don't believe me, then check this out LINK

yea, so that tells me that ULL would give lsu and a&m a tough game as well cause they almost beat the team that beat ya'll.

This is a stupid statement. LSU is not the same team when we played in Gainesville. Our offense is clicking now and that's all we needed. So enjoy the fact you got us when we were struggling.

they are the country's best offense because they put up 50+ on scrub D units...

A&M ranks in the top 20 for scoring defense.

If they put those kind of numbers on us, they could do it to the significant majority of teams.

If you hate the transitive property so much, then I'll help you out:

That's weird, I just was reading one of your message boards and there was a post about yall playing us in the Cotton Bowl and that was not the impression I got.

Here are a few quotes from that thread:

quote:

Do not want.

quote:

don't want this matchup this year, too soon after 'eternal scoreboard'.

quote:

I hope we don't play them. It's too soon. I like having eternal scoreboard.

quote:

It doesn't matter what we want or don't want. Bellmont is going to decide this for us. Just like we get to keep Mack until he decides to hang it up. I lean toward Bellmont making sure we don't play them this year though.

quote:

Problem is this texas team wont herp derp over A&M. They may skull $#@! the $#@! out of us.
quote:

Johnny Fatherland will run crazy on this Texas D
quote:

Meh. Do not want. I don't like the Sumlin-Diaz match-up whatsoever.
quote:

It would be a tough match up for us. I have no doubt in my mind that Aggy would run for 300 plus yards on us.

quote:

I would vote for never playing them again, ever
quote:

I don't WANT to play aggie
quote:

This would suck.
quote:

I just have visions of Johnny Meinzheil ducking his head and whizzing past 11 matadors in burnt orange..

Im not so sure of this. If UGA and Florida lose we will most assuredly move up to #5 in the BCS but if Oregon or Kansas state were to lose their first game do you think they would fall past #4? Alabama surely didn't. The only team that could possibly fall past LSU is Notre Dame. Their toughest test is the game against USC on 11/24, a full week before the SEC championship so UGA or Bama will not have lost at that point. the FSU/Florida game is also on 11/24 so if FSU wins LSU will move up to #6 in the BCS. Do you believe after being handed their first loss of the season Notre dame will fall from #3 to atleast #6 moving LSU up to the #5 spot? Im not so sure of this.

Go back to your Big 12 Shithole sip. I realize that your zebra assisted win last year was the highlight of highlights for your program but control your agsession. I do like how you brought up a video from an OT game that was over 100 degrees (when A&M sucked btw) and had people going to the hospital from the heat as an example of lack of fan support. If you want to see that though perhaps you remember this more recent example:

Did Texas change their colors to concrete grey?

Cool video. Fresno State huh??

Got one for you, doesn't require video link.

UH at UCLA in 2010 - 54,407
texass at UCLA in 2011 - 54,583

Congrats on drawing almost 500 more people than UH did.

You guys got that traveling down.

Of course, no one travels faster or more efficiently that shorthorn fans in the 2nd Q vs OU. Stampede!!

Ahh the old Cotton Bowl and the Red River Shootout. Is there a more majestic scene in all of college football on a sunny day?

Crimson and Cream on one side... Concrete and aluminum on the other.
