You're a fan of an SEC school and you don't know what a "sidewalk alumnus" is?

You don't know what a "donor" is? Really?

Does your mom donate money to LSU? If so, she's a donor. If not, and she's a graduate, then she's just waiting for the right time, and therefore a "future donor". A current student is a "future donor".

"Sidewalk alumni" are fans that didn't attend the school, or attended other schools, or couldn't get in, and are fans and wear the t-shirt regardless. Harvey Updyke is Alabama's most notorious "sidewalk alum".

Sumlin actually had success prior to the SEC. Chizik was horrible at ISU.

Also, speaking of culture:

When we joined the SEC, the sports media, especially in Texas were furious. "How dare lowly A&M think they can exist outside of Bevo's shadow?!!"

When Missouri joined, it was thought that they could compete right away.

Convince me otherwise.

Tebow was a suspect passer at best. It showed up in the NFL. Johnny is not. He has pin-point accuracy. Auburn had a huge drop-off because Cam left. Had he stayed???

Cam Newton was a byproduct of Chizik. That doesn't mean Chizik was the one who changed the culture.

Well Chizik never implemented a winning culture. AU and Cam won the 2010 MNC despite Chizik. And as you're painfully aware, Cam was Auburn--he indeed was responsible for that "culture."

Sumlin isn't Chizik.

Since he's arrived, the impact he's made independent from JFF is so profound that I'm frankly too tired to provide a sufficient analysis of it.

He'll be a hall of fame coach. Just hope we can keep him.

That's because Chizik was hired away from his earth shattering success at Iowa State to be the guy who could look the other way while Cam picked up bags and committed felonies. We actually hired Sumlin to coach.

Even during the FRANCHIONE and SHERMAN years, we never had a season where we did as badly as Auburn 2012.

Yeah so too bad I wasnt talking about Auburn and the team you were talking about no being able to develop QB's is LSU.... Manziel is good no one is disputing that.... He will not be that good next year promise that, all the chips fell the kids way, and teams are going to game plan better for him..... Stop getting your rocks off over 1 good year! Geaux Tigers!
