Maybe his health is preventing him from keeping up. Might need to slow it down a bit. I hate for him to have a fake heart attack and retire.

Expanding the playoffs only makes it easier for Alabama to get in
I hope the playoffs are expanded (to a field of 8) because that's probably the only way Mizzou ever gets in.

Why are Georgia fans so dumb? SEC West teams ranked in top 25: 4 SEC East Teams ranked in top 25: 4 It is the same. How is the West 'down'?
Really? because the east was 9-5 against the west.
How does that NOT make the almighty west down?

That, or OSU can boat race the PAC 12. I don’t see how that is a bad thing. Urban never had a Rose Bowl championship. He can go out with that feather in his cap. Let Clemson get their fudge packed in this time by someone in the playoff

It doesn't not mean they're down.
It is interesting that those 5 wins by the West were all by the top three teams. The bottom four had zero wins. The East certainly wins the head to head battle conference wide, but it's a little funny that the bottom two teams...Tennessee and Vandy...had more wins combined against the West than the top two, Georgia and Kentucky.
If Bama wins tomorrow, the Vols and Vandy will have had more wins in fewer games.

An 9 team cfb could mean 3 top SEC teams get in some of these years. The deepest team will almost certainly win the title. No more Miami 1983, Boise State/Fiesta Bowl, etc. The small guy would def. lose out.

Ah, ya got me.
Looking forward to the day (soon, I hope!) when I can just post a gif of a natty after realizing I can’t rationalize saying the things I do.
Frfr hoping for some magic/madness this weekend that could put UGA against tOSU in the playoff. Would love to see the dawgs put ol’ Urb out of his misery, a la Spurrier, Butch Jones, McElwain, Paul Johnson..

As I said in the other thread, politics will get involved. The committee won’t be allowed to let a conference loser Bama stay ahead of a 1 loss Big 10 or Big 12 champ. The only reason it happened last year was because Ohio State lost 2 games so they didn’t have as much of an argument. The outrage from the Big 10/Big 12 would be too much and the committee doesn’t want to deal with it.

I'm going to say that posting a gif reply to "lol he mad" is sufficient.

well last year Bama didn't even play for the SEC championship and they got in. so if they lose this year and get left out it won't bother me one bit.

Transitive relation is fun, but it's not useful in college football.

Only if Clemson, Okie, Ohio State all lose does Bama make it, if they lose.
If all four lose then your playoff looks like this.
ND, UGA, Bama and UCF (provided they win) .

In the end the team that will get screwed tomorrow is UGA. The CFB committee mission is to put the 4 best teams in the country in the playoffs. Right now they consider UGA a top 4 at #4. Meaning the committee only sees 3 teams that currently can beat them. So if UA beats them tomorrow as the committee, based on rankings, think they should it does not change that UGA is still the 4th best team in the country. So if UGA does not win tomorrow I think they should still go.
Why should they be penalized for playing 1 of the only 3 teams the committee thinks can beat them while CU plays a 5 loss team or ND stays home. Even with the loss it should not change how the committee perceives them.
This is all true. They do think we have done more than Ohio State and OU have, and a competitive loss to the best team doesnt really change that. If only we could play Northwestern...........
