Do people that go there not know about City Cafe?

15st Diner was untouched. Still has bad food.
I can't stand Taco Casa.
The owners are great people though. Even after losing a store they did a ton to help out after the storm.

I like City Cafe better but I don't think it's really that much better than 15th Street Diner honestly. I haven't been to 15th Street Diner in a long time though. I ate lunch there the day of the March 1993 blizzard. I remember snow had started to mix with the rain when we were there and the most epic snowstorm I've ever witnessed was just a few short hours away.

There was a diner in the strip mall in Alberta next to a tv repair shot which had good a lunch. Does anyone know if it got wiped out. It was in behind Churches FC. Good chicken if you were in the mood.(great hang-over food.)

Hate to break it to ya'll but most everything at City Cafe comes from a can. I love the shite out of it. The deviled eggs are fire as frick. Solid Catfish fillet. I grew up on it, but most of that shite comes from a can.

I ate at 15th street a few weeks ago and it was pretty damn good, I have to go City Cafe and the waysider next week when I'm in town again. Also ate at the casa on skyland a few weeks back, it sucked. Newks on University has a great damn lunch.

Not surprising. You can get a meat and 3 veggies for $5.

quote:Ate at Papitos in Madison last night. If it's better than Taco Casa then Taco Casa is not very good. The chips and cheese dip were good but the pacante tasted like it was poured right out of a Pace's bottle. The beer was cold. The food was bland and pretty tasteless. I had enchiladas. I would assume the Papitos are pretty much the same all over.
Pepito's >>>>>>>>> Taco Casa
ETA - never mind. Different chain apparently

Someone in T-Town want to bring me some Soft Tacos-Hot, Chips and Salsa, and a large Sweet Tea to Auburn?
No guarantee I'll pay for the food/your gas to get to Auburn

That`s a different unrelated restaurant than the 2 in Tuscaloosa. The Pepitos across the river on McFarland is the one of the more authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. Telemundo along with ESPN is on all of the TVs. The food is solid. BTW speaking of Alberta City, what was the name of the bar on Univ Blvd in Alberta that had the amazingly good burgers? I can`t remember the name of the bar or its exact location but I think it may have been badly damaged by the tornado.

Pretty standard japenese steakhouse. Far from the best place in town.
No way. That place had the best rice of any Japanese steakhouse I've ever eaten at, and their shrimp sauce had a much better flavor than all the others as well. Not to mention the best sushi. And to nbamaalum, Tokyo is not even close.
