Auburn did hold them to 23 . That’s impressive unfortunately for Auburn they don’t have an offense.

This team is special and appears destined to win a NC. Clemson is a good team, but if LSU plays like they have all year, Clemson will be outmatched.

Auburn was definitely the best D and the toughest test that we faced this year. The Alabama game was not as close as the score would indicate. The Auburn game was a battle.

Auburn was so difficult because they had a beastly DL that could actually drop 8 into coverage and still get pressure and stop the run. Incredible DL. They are/were best in the country...when other teams like UGA and OU have tried to copycat AU’s game plan the results have been hilariously bad. But coaches are going to keep going back to that one game where LSU’s offense was relatively neutralized (even though we still moved the ball up and down the field with relative ease, just couldn’t finish in the red zone) and try to copy it. Hope Clemson does too.

They stopped us on fourth and short twice deep in Auburn territory. LSU still had over 500 yards on that defense. Grats to them though

Such a statistical anomaly that game was... not to take anything away from Auburn, but it's not like LSU didnt move the ball. They just had a really shitty game on 3rd and short and 4th and short. The boxscore of the game read like it should have been a 35-20 type game. Hats off to Auburn for their defensive stand, which will go unnoticed in future years. They had the best chance to beat us

That was the turning point for this offense, to be honest. LSU has been a machine in the red zone since that game.

Not really. We were 100% converting with only maybe a few being field goals going in to the game. Auburn was just the anomaly. Our gameplan at the goalline was questionable at best. We chose to go right at their elite dl, in sloppy conditions.

In fairness, Texas thought they would give LSU a good game. The margin indicates it was a good game.

Clemson sent all kinds of blitzes at OSU. Pass and run. Expect that we will get more of the same. Problem is, if we break even one tackle (which we will) it is off to the races. And also keep in mind, we did not play with a fully healthy CEH and still dominated OU.

While they did win going away... Arkansas played them very close for about a quarter and a half. Considering this was the worst Arkansas team of all time that isn't bad. We had a lot of games to be ashamed about as a program this year but the LSU game wasn't one of them.
The worst Arkansas team of all time did about as well as could be hoped for against what might be the best LSU team of all time.
Teams like Georgia and A&M, who were supposed to be good this year but got absolutely motor boated by LSU, should be the ones ducking their heads.

Florida has been a top 10 team all year and played fantastic against us. LSU is just rediculous this year. But if we don’t finish up it will be a wasted season.
