Botching sex assault investigations is a time-honored tradition at the Tally PD and Forced Sex U.

From reading the entirety of the article, mainly the sexual assault cases not related to Winston, it doesn't sound like it was necessarily a cover up.
It sounds like they are just straight up negligent when it comes to sexual assault crimes.

Our players are getting arrested for foul language and they're covering up rapes? CSPD for the win
(Obviously the FSU situation is atrocious, there's no excuse for that sort of behavior. There just has to be some sort of middle ground in police enforcement)

It still SMELLS of a cover-up. Call Mr Winston?
I'm going to baseball practice, get up with you later? Bull shite.

I have no idea if he is guilty, but I am confident there was some level of a coverup.
That's rich coming from an Auburn fan.
In fairness, recruiting money and making a rape charge go away are pretty far apart on the sins scale.

The official response from FSU was laughable. The Tally PD... they got some explaining to do.

I will say this. The affidavits submitted by the players who witnessed the sexual encounter match up perfectly in contradicting the statement of the alleged victim. I would guess that they were provided the statement of the witness in some form and drafted their affidavits accordingly.
The alleged victim had many issues with her statements which are glossed over in this article. But there's still some troubling details in all of this. But given how the police conducted the initial investigation, there's almost no way a conviction could have been obtained.
It doesn't surprise me that another woman had misgivings about her sexual encounter with Winston. There will be more.

FSU fans still slobber over Slimeball Winston too. They don't think he did ANYTHING wrong and defend him to the bitter end.
I wonder how many girls he's "run a train" on with his boys during his short life? All of them???

So let me get this straight. The alleged cover up of a violent crime, is no different than the alleged cover up of an NCAA violation? You're retarded.
