I don't blame you for believing what you have been told. I will only ask that you think about one thing. Why were the rules changed to limit scholarships. It's not that Alabama was this magical entity that all of the great recruiters have a deep divine loyalty. It was and has always been about money, brother. The reason Alabama had the advantage under the old system was because they were willing to spend the most money to get into the political machine that was high school football in states like Texas. Bear Bryant didn't leave Arkansas because he felt he was called by God to lead the thin red line to the promised land. He left his home state of Arkansas because he knew the bureaucrats in Alabama valued football enough as a political tool with the people to fix the system so that Alabama could build an economic empire around the sport. You are the logical ends of those politician's goals. I know it hurts, but it is the truth. Do you really believe that the Bear loved the State so much that he just had to move here and create a dynasty because he was on a mission from God? Really? The truth is that the people of Alabama found an ideal to get behind and were willing to put the money up to win at all costs. That included creating a system of incentives and benefits to football coaches throughout the southeast and southwest not only to bring the best players to alabama, but also to ensure that none of the best or even decent players went anywhere else. Look up the history of the grey shirt team at UA and the freshmen and JV teams. Those kids didn't come to UA because they wanted to be stars or even play, they came because they were promised a life of luxury and jobs in the crooked farm insurance industry that was the logical ends to life as an UA backup. These were the facts of the day and that is why the rules were changed.

You are exactly who I think you are, and your last post just proves it beyond all doubt. All you do is try to stir the pot by saying a bunch of ridiculous BS to draw people into stupid arguments with you. That is your M.O. as a poster, as it has been on your other 25 alters.
On behalf of me and whom ever you think I am, please post any evidence that you have. If you can post any post with anything remotely close to the cadence and content of my speech I will....well I won't do anything because it is impossible. Just to shut you up I will post a few of my addresses...or rather locales in Auburn: I lived in Ford Ct. the area behind what was the Alabama Power company but now is Brick Oven Pizza. I lived off of burton ave in Plainsmen Apartments. I lived in a house off of wire rd next to hearthstone (the little baby doll houses next to gentilly) I lived in a house in conway acres twards lochapoka I also lived in some little hippy duplexes off of cecil lane (a rt off of brag ave). I worked at Grand National golf club, The Auburn University club off of Donahue...aka the shortcut to 280 (passed the mushroom field if you're hip) I also worked at the West Coach Pizza Kitchen upstairs at Bourbon St. before it was closed because of Franco's dealings with the yayo and the Fed's...I was also a DJ with a widespread panic radio show called Pilgrim radio on what was once Wildman Steve's station 99.9...
now clockwork easter bunny or whatever your name is please stop...it's just stoopid

Bill, I thought you said you spent half your life writing about this rivalry. If thats true, how are so ill informed as to how Bryant came to Alabama. He came AS A PLAYER GENIUS! NOT A COACH! Thats right, Bryant came as an 18 year old kid to play for a team that had been to the Rose Bowl (three times by the time he got here). He was given the opportunity in a pool hall when Hank Crisp came to recruit another kid. He left Texas A&M to coach his Alma Mater- which was the most common destination for the best coaches then. Please do some research before you call me out again.

That is quite an impressive resume you have there my friend. I hear the market is good for washed up sandwich artists who have ingested a few too many drugs. I think your blog is going viral brah. Hold on for the wild ride to fame.

I'm not trolling. I aim to and will educate all of you gif posting bammers about the true history of your program. Your Paw Paw lied to you. There is a long history of a criminal syndicate in the state of Alabama (see: any Drive by Truckers song), and your football program is a very big part of it. I know you have been conditioned to believe that everyone did it. That is partly true. I admit it. You did it the best. You set the gold standard. You were the best at fusing religion, politics, and business into the realm of college athletics. Within time I will remind you all of the shame your parents tried to let you forget...that of George Wallace and Bear Bryant. You were lied to, I don't blame you.
as for you:
This one is just too easy and I addressed it in my post. Follow the money. Without quoting you verbatim...been to the rose bowl three times= the machine was in full swing, i didn't say bear started it, he followed it...and i find it incredibly naive that you don't see the opportunistic impropriety in signing a recruit in a POOL HALL...come on bud, even you can paint that mental picture, right.
P.S. I'm calling you out again.

more Bamatard to FAIL up more threads. Everyone hates BAMA I was rooting for Texas who had a shot before the dirty ways of Bama came through again. You may have bought yourself one hell of a coach but that does not put you all in any better regards. Band wagoneers jump on board and prepare to SINK as something will happen and you all will be back to the Shula days soon.
