And what ever happened with that? Did we get in trouble? I can't remember. Please remind me.

No, they don't disagree. They just couldn't get some people to go on record. Not finding proof of guilt can be much different than not guilty.

NCAA disagrees!
Things heated up with when four players alleged wrongdoing at Auburn on a cable sports program. HBO’s Real Sports interviewed Raven Gray, Stanley McGlover, Chaz Ramsey and Troy Reddick for a segment called “Dirty Money” in which all four said they were compensated by Auburn boosters with “money handshakes” after games.
The NCAA said Gray’s allegations “were not substantiated, and in some instances were disputed by others.”

(If you think "the handshake" doesn't go on at EVERY school, except the Service Academies, you are delusional)

Bad shite seems to happen to Bama and their fans on Bourbon Street...Napkin contracts, teabagging, and such.....

In relation to napkin-gate, the main reason it resulted in penalties was not so much it happened but apparently the coaching staff was told of it at some point and didn't think it was a big deal and ignored it.
That's what the NCAA doesn't like.

Maybe the reason none of this is worth the NCAA's time and effort is because those who are making the claims have no credibility?

Yes which is why we self-report like with Ha-Ha or the textbook shite...we should be smarter about, lawyer-up, and deny like our neighboors across the state.

TIL that a college player can submit an application to the NFL draft by signing a napkin.
Also, said napkin is a legally binding contract.

Auburn has had it's fair share of shady acts no doubt. I think most of the AU hate towards stuff like this stems back to 2010. To me it sounds completely ridiculous that ANY school would pay an unproven QB 180k, even AU didn't know what they had til around the 4th game. The NCAA spent a year in our university, AU was clean but people were never gonna except that answer from the beginning.
Some people stay in full retard mode though. Hell I venture to derp land from time to time when I'm drunk posting
I actually agree with a lot of this. I can understand Auburn fan's frustration of people downplaying your 2010 title. There was a lot of smoke at the time but in all honesty the "smoking gun" never came about and the HBO 4 never got specific after their admissions. As far as I'm concerned, rivals have to let it go and give Auburn their due.
Understand though, that the same works for Alabama. The Ttown Menswear has no more evidence than the Cam case did. Pictures of people signing autographs is one thing while specific allegations by specific people accusing specific players (names, dollar amounts, documentation) have to accompany the pictures for it to go anywhere. Specific people and specific amounts were mention in the JM case but not with Ttown Menswear. The cars supposedly purchased would be very easy to find as they have to be vetted through compliance at all schools. Agent activity is the tricky one and is harder to control. You basically have to police it and turn it in as soon as you discover problems which the NCAA seems to reward regardless of which school handles it that way.
In short, I just find it hard to believe a control freak like Saban who has coached at multiple colleges and has never had any NCAA run ins and suddenly going to risk his entire career and reputation running a renegade program. I may be 100% wrong but there's nothing in Saban's past that shows he would lose total control over the program the way some are suggesting.

I want to know at what point did it change to a napkin or Did the player say it was only a napkin to the coach and thats how it got started.
If Im not mistaken the NCAA report said it was a signed and witnessed contract

But you already restarted a thread on the same article. I personally hope Bama get's all the grief in the world. I know they cheat like muthafuka's, but it is clear they have green light's from NCAA. No amount of threads will change that. It gets old.

All it takes to have a binding contract is a meeting of the minds. Can be written, or it can even be verbal. I could sign and have an agreement witnessed on toilet paper, as long as we had a meeting of the minds we have a valid contract.
