Only money was mentioned at Miss. St.. That was by a former player. The two boosters involved said they never once talked to Cecil.

Did Mr. Newton admit to shopping his son around when being recruited? (by MSU, or was it another University?)
Anywho, I thought the NCAA implemented a new rule as a result of Mr. Newton shopping around his son without his sons knowledge.

c'mon man. We all know there's no other fan base that can come close to matching wits with Updyke U, home of the teabaggers but you don't have to remind us.

No, intellectual honesty in this case would be Auburn fans admitting that they had a poor history of complying with NCAA rules and not blaming all of their SEC record 7 major infractions cases on "Bammer" or set ups by the "REC". You don't see other schools explaining away their shortcomings like they don't legitimately exist the way many Auburn fans do. The majority of your fans really do by into the myth of the Auburn Creed and holier than thou mythology you've crowned yourselves with. You don't see any other SEC fanbases taking themselves as seriously as you guys do. Fortunately, most of the Auburn fans here are down to earth enough to realize how dumb doing so would be.

The NCAA did implement a new rule about it. There was no rule at that time. And Cecil didn't "shop" anybody. A former Miss. St. player went to Cecil and said "I think I can get some money for Cam to go to Miss. St.". Cecil said, "go for it". How that has anything to do with Auburn is beyond me.

Just got back from ITAT. Operation Red Dog part 3 or 4 is about to commence. IronTigers camera stacked. Bama fricked.

He admitted to talking money with MSU not whether he brought it up, MSU suddenly offered him, or even what was said. MSU had their "money man" talk to him to make an offer. Otherwise Cecil would have never met him or knew who he was. If anything MSU should have gotten in trouble.

What infractions has Emmeret protected Saban/Bama from getting penalties for?

Please list each individual infraction that there is proof of wrongdoing that Bama has skated on?

Just so I understand you and NTY correctly, is it your contention that Alabama and Saban have to offer cars, suits, and money to be able to recruit at a high level and that the only reason we continue to recruit at a high level is because of these freebies? In other words, we'd be below Auburn and no better than middle of the pack historically if we played by the same rules Auburn does? Just curious.

I don't get it. Those are the most rational fans in the history of Al Gore's interwebs.

T-Rents mom "house sitting" while he was at bama. (he said that in an interview)

T-Town Menswear. (This isn't he said/he said. There are hundreds of pictures of it)

Taking a prospect out of state, the weekend before Signing Day, and having said prospect sign with bama. (Clear NCAA violation. Brent Calloway)

Having players drive vehicles, while at bama, that were as expensive as the house they grew up in. (Julio Jones)

Rinse, lather, repeat.

So it was all Fulmer fault, Bama or their boosters had no involvement?

You just made my point

We did so with Tennessee in the Albert Means case because they worked with the NCAA to avoid their own infractions case but even most hard core Bama fans will admit we committed major violations without Tennessee's involvement. Other than that, I would say no. It was later proven that Auburn boosters bankrolled Gene Jelks during the Langham case but that case was mostly about how we bungled the eligibility of a player. Despite both Jelks and an Auburn booster going on the record that they were behind that case, Bama fans still acknowledge that 99% of the cases we were involved with did in fact involve legimate rules violations. For some reason, many Auburn fans simply can't bring themselves to admit that their school hasn't always followed all the rules. I don't get what their hang up with that is, but some seem ready to defend their school's pristine virtue at all costs no matter the evidence.

Read the link in the OP. Tell me which ones Emmert even sent people to investigate. He has sent people everywhere else on hearsay. Ignoring the evidence when reported is protecting. He sent people to A&M for JFF signing items. None showed up at Bama after half their star players were signing items to be sold and even help advertise for a booster that Bama secretly disassociated because they even knew what he was doing was wrong. There were pictures just like the JFF case but Bama disassociating him and hiding it from the NCAA is more damning than some random guying saying he knew about it. They even kept it from the NCAA until the media found out which again should have got them in trouble. Then when it was shown that he had been around the players after the disassociation date they again came up with some lame excuse that he could only be around them as a business man. Which again showed they lied and should have gotten them in even more trouble. That is just starters.

Logan Young went off the reservation. There was never any proof connecting Bama to this except that Young was defined as a booster and as such, the University got hit. They never established the coaching staff had any knowledge of it and in fact the two coaches involved (Williams and Cottrell), sued the NCAA for reputational damage. They weren't succesful as their contracts mandate compling with the NCAA, but there was never any proof that connected the staff to the situation.

Don't go to ITAT. Have family that live in Foley. Have a second generation cousin, a bama fan, who played at Foley with Julio. He showed me the house he grew up in. Everybody in Foley knows Julio "got paid" to go to bama. It can be said for Fluker. It can be said for T.J.......and again, the list goes on and on.

It goes back to before the Stabler days. Kenny drove a Vette that his parents couldn't possibly afford. How do I know this? A person that fed me and changed my diapers grew up a few doors down, and babysat Kenny, when she was growing up.
