So it would be five years from that date. I am pretty sure its from the initial ruling. Did sanctions start then as well and were lessened or did they not start until the spring date?

I find it funny thay on the right side of that article it talks about promoting auburn and celebrating its successes and wants to defend their "family" image when they are some of the worst cheaters in the SEC and they all know it. But then they go on to attack Alabama. Little bro hardcore

It is remarkable isn't it. I'm mean I can understand reminding your rival that they have a poor recent history of abiding by all the rules and that would be a legitimate comment but to try to pretend that you are above it all when you have a rules breaking history of your own that dates back at least 55 years the righteous indignation rings hollow. Many Auburn fans aren't even intellectually honest enough to acknowledge their poor history of rules compliance yet they scream like a bunch of Pharisees at all the other "evil doers"

Which school is it again that has a cozy relationship with the NCAA that helps it get away with violations?

The one that has had more evidence on them come out than all other D1 schools combined in the last 5 years without even getting investigated and not the one that got investigated for 16 months for nothing but hearsay.

Their time is coming........tick, tock.

Patience. There are way too many influential schools pushing the NCAA to stop turning a blind eye to all of the mounting evidence. Even Emmert will not be able to keep protecting them, if he wants to keep his job.

Maybe they too believe this is hearsey?

Photos of players signing autographs and no photos of players being compensated = none story.

Photos of player vehicles and no photos/documentation of illegal activity = none story.

Am I doing this right?

Hold on I will find a link to Kentuckys history especially under Caliparri of UK's cheating in basketball.

Don't put this on us. We're all about the "if you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'" movement.

Joker just didn't get the memo.

Please explain the absurd idea that the NCAA protects Alabama but did nothing to AU in the 2010 investigation.

Not really. The Bama fans there were way worse than the ones here. I do wish more major outlets would point this out and not just the under the radar ones no one will ever read or ones people take seriously (unlike Travis and SSB). Otherwise the NCAA won't ever worry about their perception and do anything different.

Those incidents did get looked into and multiple players had to sit games and give back money. Marcel Dareus sat out and paid back. The clever plot by an Auburn booster to set up Julio and Ingram was thwarted, and Jerrel Harris had to sit several games as well. Clinton-Dix will end up with a multiple game suspension. The 5 starting players involved with getting free textbooks (exact same thing happened at Nebraska) were sat 5 games and Alabama vacated games they played in. Alabama compliance, unlike Auburn compliance, actually fosters an environment of cooperation with the NCAA. We'd probably be better off if we stonewalled them and lawyered up instead of turning ourselves in.

Because Auburn did nothing wrong. AU and Miss. St. weren't the only two schools recruiting Cam. Only money was mentioned at Miss. St.. That was by a former player. The two boosters involved said they never once talked to Cecil. That was about a runner for an agent, who was a former Miss. St. football player, trying to put some money in his pocket.

The NCAA gave Auburn a nine month enema, not just about Cam, and found nothing. Hate it all you want, but there was nothing to see here!

c'mon man. We all know there's no other fan base that can come close to matching wits with Updyke U, home of the teabaggers but you don't have to remind us.

Yeah. But all the Bama fans claiming all this is just a bunch of coincidences at one school aren't.
