Cool story. Sounds familiar too. Same reason most visiting fans are usually one or two and done on visits to the Grove. All that tailgating hype and all the faux displays of wealth by a fanbase that thinks it has the collective buying power of Park Avenue instead of closer to the neighorhood of Afghanistan where it truly resides. Decorating your tailgate spread with white tablecloths and chandeliers doesn't change the fact that the spread consists of trays of Wal Mart food. The suspenders, red suits, and sundresses don't mask the fact that there is an equally large redneck element on any givend gameday in Oxford. The difference is that the rednecks in Tuscaloosa don't delude themselves in to thinking they are high society and better than everyone else like the ones in Oxford do.

Sorry, but averaging one win per decade doesn't prove it.

An Irvington cage fighter accused of inciting a brawl at an Auburn University fraternity house by yelling "Roll Tide" admitted Wednesday to bribing a retarded man to claim responsibility for injuries suffered by the brothers in the melee.

Joey Barrett Jr., 25, pleaded guilty in Lee County Circuit Court to two felony charges.

He was sentenced to 18 months in jail and five years probation after pleading guilty to first-degree assault, as well as one year, to run concurrently with the first penalty, for bribing a witness. The plea agreement, according to Lee County District Attorney Nick Abbett, allows Barrett to serve his time in Mobile County Metro Jail.

The fight that landed Barrett Jr. in jail began in font of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity house on the eve of the 2005 Alabama-Auburn game. It ended with one of the brothers being sent to the hospital with a collapsed lung.

Abbett said investigation into the case continued after the trial, eventually revealing that Barrett had offered Holtz a car in exchange for taking the heat on the assault charges.

Btw, that creamed corn offer goes for anyone, just come on down and say hello. I enjoy talking college ball with a wide array of people regardless of financial status. After all, we're all God's children.

What a fanbase of pussies, I'd rather have the cage fighter from Irvington.

starter jersey wearing

I was actually getting a good laugh out of this post and was about to upvote, but then I saw this. What is so different about that from any other thing you wear? Do you have such an insecure disposition about wearing a jersey that you make fun of others for it?

You're one of those guys

I can't think of a reason anyone would ever be a fan of Ole Miss. Honestly, who wakes up in the morning and says "Oh boy, I can't wait to see those Rebels/BlackBears/perpetual bottom dwellers of the SEC!". Seriously, its not even about the fact that their program is on-par with Tulane in terms of recent success in the SEC or the fact that their stadium makes as much noise as the Hoover High School band on Friday night. It's the fact that Ole Miss fans carry themselves with this massive false sense of superiority and tries so hard to create an image of themselves as rich preppy pretentious douchebags, when in reality, we all know that Ole Miss is probably the worse school in SEC, Oxford is one giant shite hole that can't even afford to keep the bars open later than 8, and their tailgating if filled with cold chicken tenders and shitty liquor. And along with that, they hype up their girls as some of the best in the SEC, when they're no different than other school in SEC. The recent cheating of you frickers has really made your fans lippy and come out from under the giant mounts of garbage that Alabama wasted upon your state. I try to feel sympathy for you guys, I really do. But its in sad times like these that whenever anyone encounters an Ole Miss grad-which is very rare outside of Memphis or Mississippi for that matter- they have to have a "Dipshit to English" translation manual around to comprehend whatever shite-infested thing they're trying to say.

I will surely enjoy this Saturday and good luck to the Ole Miss Bears

I do too. I'm not fond of wearing them at games cause they kind of get sticky in the early games from the heat and aren't warm enough in the later games of the season.

But so what if an adult wears one? Give me your reasoning behind this odd insecurity of yours. I see it almost every day in the off season and I'm curious to hear the logic behind your statement.

I'm not so sure about that. Saban had fit on the sideline at the end of the Wisky game when he was mad at Fitzpatrick, I thought he was going to have an aneurysm.
