Was digging around with stats for the Sugar Bowl HoF post, and saw something that surprised me, so I thought I'd put a challenge out there for you stat peeps (and even non-stat peeps).

Rules: no cheating and looking up the answer until at least 5 people make legit guesses.

Question:

Who is the SEC all-time leader (single season) for yards per pass attempt?

Bonus:

Name the 3 SEC QBs who due to their efforts in 2017 are now in the top 20 in this same category.

Drew Lock has to be one of them.

and since this is a random QB stat thread started by an LSU fan I'm assuming Etling also has to be one.

I figured the third was either Stidham or Etling

GetCocky11: 2 points for Mett/Lock
drunkensailor89: 1 point for Fromm
GameCocky88: 1 point for Etling

Pretty good if no one cheated =)

Come on now. You can't expect a LSU fan to start a QB thread and the answer not be an LSU QB

I am surprised no one guessed Jamarcus Russell. Dude could throw it way far.

Mettenberger was really solid, but he had dozens of passes caught by OBJ and Jarvis that no human should be able to catch.

Still feel like he would have been fine in the league had he kept the weight down and stayed clean.

wrong. He was never more than mediocre at LSU. He was a poor decision maker. Notre Dame's defense made him look far better than he was. He simply wasn't bright enough for NFL success, and he wasn't off by just a little.

Would've been pretty dang good with a different organization I think.

He was very efficient at LSU and a very underrated athlete.
