Could someone tell me who the defensive coordinator was for Stallings. A very good team due to a great defense

Thanks. Is he still alive? Did he leave with Stallings?

Oliver left before Stallings did.

My God what a night. Alabama figured out that Miami had no running game and load up for a passing attack. It is still my favorite NC won by Alabama

As far as I know, he is. He left Alabama after the 95 season to be DC at Auburn.

By far the most fun I’ve ever had at a game, perfect night. We threw for 18 yards.

With the greatest play that didn't count in football history? I know it prevented a TD, but still.

Wasn’t there like 3 defensive all Americans on that defense. I remember the 2 defensive ends that were monsters

Curry and Copeland. On the back end Langham and Teague was ballers.

I'm pretty sure we had 7 all SEC first team defenders: Curry, Copeland, London, Hall, Langham, Oden, and Teague.

I watched one of their spring practice sessions in Tuscaloosa and watched Stallings walk over and take over the secondary for about 10 minutes during group drills, as if Brother Oliver was a 22 year old first year coach.

Oliver was well into his 50's of course, or hell, older, I don't know.

Kirby Smart was 17 years old. His high school job wasn’t Alabama defensive coordinator. Tuscaloosa is way too far to commute to from south Georgia.

That Teague play is still the greatest play in the history of college football considering the stage and the play itself. As we know, him forcing the change of possession made Miami have to take the penalty way back up the field instead of the huge play.

Lamar Thomas had track speed and Teague just caught him almost superhumanly.

Thomas still has his head under a towel at last check.

The first game I ever saw Bama play in person was that season. Inaugural SEC Championship game vs Florida. It was cold as shite that day in Legion Field, but that was one helluva game.
