Sure did. Not as much as he will have at Alabama.

And Alabama feels that they made a quality hire. So everyone gets what they wanted.

Kentucky’s routinely had one of the best lines in the country the last few years and has been one of Stoops’ deepest positions.

You keep saying things I already know. UK's OL talent is not on par with Alabama's.

Furthermore, you continue to connect this guy to Schlarman and he was a GA at Troy for one season. It's not like he was his protégé for a decade. He was fetching coffee and donuts for the staff at Troy.

I’m sure you think he did.

I'm guessing you saw him doing this? Of course you didn't.

Good luck with Wolford, he showed he was a dirtbag on the way out the door.

Everyone always says this shite when they lose a coach they didn’t expect to. But sure he’s awful now and you never really wanted him. And of course you upgraded. Nick Saban is clearly known for making bad hires.

Bama got who they wanted...

Kentucky got who they wanted...

I don't think there will be a dip with both offensive lines with UK or Bama this coming season

He wasn't learning how to coach OL. You see the college resume posted earlier in this thread?

Wolford saw a better opportunity and took it. Get mad about it.

To be fair, Mark Stoops has made awesome hires as well.

The dude wound up sticking with Florida. He had to question Wolford's credibility.

We've had other coaches move on to other positions. For instance, Sumrall just left for the HC job at Troy. But came back to coach the bowl game before he went.

Nobody is saying Wolford did that out of spite. He told Kentucky coaches he was going on a recruiting visit (on UK's dime) to flip Jalen Farmer from Florida. Instead, he went and interviewed for the Alabama OL job without telling anyone and then attempted to flip Farmer to Alabama (again on UK's dime, he was still employed with UK). He didn't reach out to any of the players he coached this last year to tell them he was leaving either. He just never returned from the trip. That's shady as frick and y'all would lose your mind if an assistant did that to your program. So no, it's not anyone mad because he just left. If you're running a good program, assistants are going to leave.

He was here one year after Schlarman died. And Morrow has been our point recruiter at OL anyway, so we're not losing anything in that regard.

Liam Coen was an assistant OC with the Rams and that turned out well.

When Jon Sumrall left everyone wished him the best, because he is a man of integrity. Everything above board.

When someone leaves with no announcement, is recruiting for you and being paid by you, then attempts to recruit for another school that same player while spending your money, then that is unethical.

So this man is an upgrade as a human being and probably as a coach.

Well and the notion that anyone is chapped simply because he's leaving is silly given who we've had leave since Stoops has been there for various other opportunities. And in higher ranking positions (like OC). Hell, we've had other assistants leave for Alabama if we really want to go there. It happens.

It was absolutely the way he left. And with a group that absolutely doesn't deserve that shite after what they went through with Schlarman.

I follow Alabama recruiting pretty closely and had literally never read anything about this kid being a serious target for Alabama. I know we offered him but never really read much past that. Not saying he didn't become one, but that would certainly have been a new development.

And y’all did this same shite with Derek Ansley.

You even had assistant coaches like Marrow questioning Mac Jones’ integrity when he flipped to Alabama in 2017.

So excuse me if I call bullshite on a lot of this.

Staff here wanted to flip him for us. So he was a target for Wolford himself while at UK. I don't believe he was told to do it by Alabama but did it for good measure while he was on the trip for the interview.
