Past B played from 2013-2014

I'm guessing Nick Marshall based on those dates

For whatever reason I think they used the last AP poll before bowl games for 2016, but I'm not positive.

That's why Tennessee isn't included

2008-2012 means there has to be a redshirt year in there. Ryan Tannehill?

All 4 guys are generally looked at in the same light (athletic, can't throw against good teams, etc)

(a) Jalen and Jordan Jefferson are pretty close to mirror images of eachother

(b) Fitzgerald's numbers are garbage

(c) Nick Marshall was an explosive passer, much more so than the other 3. The other 3 are/were really inefficient passers.

Just thought it was interesting given all the talk about QBs lately to see what the numbers are when you strip away the stat packing games.

Jefferson's TD/INT ratio is actually not as bad as I would've expected.

eta: How do Dak Prescott's games vs ranked compare to these?

Jordan Jefferson completed 57% of his passes? Wouldn’t have guessed that.

QB Rating against in those games vs. ranked opponents:

141.93- Nick Marshall
123.74- Jalen Hurts
119.76- Jordan Jefferson
86.88- Nick Fitzgerald

........against Top 25 opponents

Funny thing is, his overall rate was only 58.6%. He wasn't really much different against good teams than bad ones.

QB Rating against in those games vs. ranked opponents:

(a) Marshall was so incredibly underrated as a passer

(b) Jalen Jefferson

(c) Nick Fitzgerald is pretty damned overrated at this point IMHO. And this doesn't even go on to show how much his rush numbers crumble when you only look at them against T25 teams.

Marshall's numbers are boosted by that one Iron Bowl in which he through lights out....

You list his stats in 11 games against ranked opponents... 19.1% of all his yards in those 11 games came in one single outing which was the 2014 Iron Bowl.

In the 2014 Iron Bowl, he had 456 yards passing.
In those other 10 games against ranked opponents, he averaged just 193.1 yards/game.

In the 2014 Iron Bowl, he averaged 10.6 yards per attempt. In the other 10 games against ranked opponents, he averaged just 7.9 yards per pass attempt.

So do you think you should throw out one of his hardest challenges in the averages against tough competition?
