FWIW, the timing of this couldn't have been better for bama... a week after NSD so it has no effect on this last recruiting cycle, and it'll more than be gone from the headlines before the first spring practice starts. Not that you ever want to have four guys arrested, but mid Feb is the absolute best timing.

I think it's 2 points per felony, so that's 10.
Add one point for the misdemeanor gun charge (I assume)
They'll probably give EW a couple style points for 2 arrest in 3 days(that's how it works, sort of subjective)
Maybe one bonus point because it's Alabama. (UF, UGA, UT always get a reputation bonus)

Yep. Saban constantly tells the team if they want to do illegal shite, best get it out of the way in mid-February, preferably the week of Valentines Day.

I love Bama fans posting stuff like " get rid of these stupid guys"...because they arent starters, make them all starters and I bet the mood would change quickly.
First of all...innocent til proven guilty and noe of you guys know didley about these cases....get off the high horses.
BTW that Stormie in the swimsuit competition even has that "nightclub" pale palour to her...bitch needs some sunshine and stay away from the nightlife and dope, she has that homegrown sweet look to her that is worth some real money...hook up with a tie and suit...divorce his hapless azz and chill.

Press release stating all four were no longer on the team. There was no press conference, IIRC.
Chizik did have a press conference. I don't know if it was the next day, but he did have one about the incident. The players were off the team the next day though.

Bama will release a form letter informing these players that they are no longer on the football team. It will be dated two weeks ago.

Eddie Williams would be a huge loss, dude. He was a 5-star athlete coming out of high school. We could have used him. But...we can't have players running around town with illegal firearms, robbing people, while buying Schlitz Malt Liquor with stolen credit cards.
