Chex is my good ole friend. Yep.

If he happened to be seeing grass roots next week I would be deeply hysterical and in torture.

They haven't been dropping most of this season. By that logic we'd be .500 or so.

Bama can try to feed Clifford against Auburn and we will see how that works out for ya.

Auburn should double team the big red dog and not pay any attention to the goofy looking white guy.

(Grant Nelson’s box score in his two games against Auburn last season.

14 points, 11 rebounds
16 points, 6 rebounds)

The difference in having a true center won’t be on offense for Alabama, it will be on defense. Grant Nelson (6’11”, 230 pounds) couldn’t stop Broome (6’10”, 240 pounds) because he couldn’t physically match his strength. Clifford the big red dog (6’11”, 250 pounds) can. It will be interesting to watch. If they let them play Alabama has a good chance to win, like they did last year. If they blow a whistle at the first hint of contact, Alabama will likely lose like they did last year.

Hopefully having two big bodies will hopefully keep Nelson out of foul trouble (he fouled out in the second of the two Auburn games, a loss). In the second game, Nelson fouled out and Diubate (6’7”,215 pounds) and seldom seen Sam Watters (6’10”, 200 pounds) each had 4 fouls primarily against Broome. But they weren’t alone, everyone got fouls that night, a total of 6 Alabama players finished with 4 fouls or more and 2 fouled out. Only one Alabama player didn’t pick up a foul (compared to 5 Auburn players with zero fouls, no starter with more than 3 fouls and no players fouling out.)

I like playing Bama but I hate the Bama fans here who complain about driving teams and the refs all game. And no matter how many times you tell them they are a 3 point shooting team, so they should have less free throws every game, they want the refs to let them play the paint hard. I blame Oats!

Alabama takes and scores more shots in the paint than almost anyone in the country, because they basically completely forego midrange attempts. That's why Alabama is #16 in FT rate. Yet another false narrative.

Doubt nelson gets near broome much, gonna be mo and cliff. Auburn looks almost unbeatable most nights. Our turnovers have to go wayyyyy down against the barn. We’ll also need nelson to be like he was against uconn, not the turnover machine he was against ole miss. Same for sears.

I try to steer clear of blaming refs too much since every fan focuses on close calls that go against them and ignores ones in their favor.

But, Alabama's offense is not "just take a lot of 3s".
It's a lot more:

1/3 take all the open 3s to make every defender guard the perimeter
1/3 drive/ rebound for layups
1/3 FTs from all the drives and rebounds

Alabama actually does drive a lot and creates a lot of outback opportunities. They tend to shoot a lot of FTs as a result.

The shots at the rim and FTs are actually the whole reason Oats gives the green light for the 3 pointers.

AU has a much better chance in a game that lets them play verses one called tight. A big part of Alabama’s offense is getting to the line.

So nothing would change. You would still be a poor, uneducated failure regardless.
