Blue Bell Park Upgrade | $30 million

The Aggie Baseball program will take its training to the next level with a new baseball development center that allows for crucial training during inclement weather. Players will up their game indoors through a new strength and conditioning center, pitching and hitting development labs, training room, nutrition space, team meeting rooms and an expanded locker room. More fans also will get to experience Aggie Baseball via a leftfield seating expansion.

Here is a pic from a couple of years ago showing that area of the stadium.

Looks like the berm will be replaced with actual seats. The bullpen will be expanded to where some of the batting cages are. As well as a walkway over it. Then a large building will be added to contain the new labs. Premium OF seats will be added on either side of the scoreboard. A second club area will be under the "crawford box" seats to the left of the video board. I haven't seen new capacity announced yet, but I would expect it to rise from 6100 with overflow to 7500 to closer to 7000 with overflow around 8000. I doubt this is where the expansion ends. The longer-term plan is to get to 10k and we don't have OF seating in right yet.

It was 330/375/400/375/330. Now LF comes in 20 FT with a much taller wall. The rest will be the same.

Looks like Dudy Noble and that reno doesn't look like it should cost $30 million

I'd also try to do something to hide the indoor facility behind right field. It has never been very sightly.

Damn, that's awesome. Blue Bell Park was already the third-best SEC baseball stadium in my mind, so it'll be interesting to see how this upgrade ranks relative to Baum and Dudy Noble.

The current indoor facility will be replaced in the next several years. Building one for football in the present location and one for track near the new track stadium.

Most of the money will be used to renovate some the guts of Blue Bell to make locker rooms and weight rooms larger then adding a fairly large expansion that will take over some of the parking lot for the labs.

And we are fixing those indoor track and football facilties too.

They did a lot of things right last reno, but didn't go all the way. This almost gets us there. Should elevate BBP to the same tier as Baum & Dudy.

I can't stand when a ballpark does this.

Other than that it looks nice.

I'd argue yall borrowed some from us. We're borrowing some from yall now.

Yall went from this.

To This.

Which looks similar to our 2 tier stadium built years before.

It freaks me out how much public institutions spend on sporting arenas.
