One rule change that allows high school players to go straight to the NBA would make Cal useless.

You mean like when he was at UMass?

Can we have a list of tear of trails that Frank Haith left while at Mizzou. Thanks.

Single elimination tournaments like what CBB has are fun but it's a pretty dumb way for determining a champion.

It really is. I wish they'd cut the fluff out of the regular season, get rid of the stupid conference tournaments, and each round could be best of 3 with the higher seed hosting. I guess that would take the Madness out of March though.

Been arguing this for years

Make regular season hames important
Make conference tourney for best 4 or 8 only

Run conference tournament and NCAA like baseball where double elimination determines who drops out and who advances.

The NCAA is all fricked up. They gave Memphis the shaft without any evidence. That reporter said that it would never happened if it was one of the blue blood programs. That's why Alabama will never get busted.

I thought it got bogged down in parts.

Kentucky has been the pioneer of basketball so not surprising Cal is the poster boy of this era.

Rupp sped the ball up and made the game exciting
Rick embraced the 3 point rule from the pros to college
Cal embraced the shift from team to individual

Personally I am no fan of the one and done but this is the mantra of this generation. Narcissism and and unique snowflakes are just part of the landscape in the age of the selfie and me first. it is hard to fault Cal as the scapegoat without faulting what has fueled his success.

I still don't get how the NBA is allowed to enforce that rule. Doesn't it discriminate based on age ?

I don't think there's a federal protection against discrimination for being under a certain age, only for being over 40.

Isn't the rule part of the CBA between the nba and players union?

A league with a union can collaborate to set rules and guidelines as they see fit. If the players union wanted it changed they could get it changed.

Just watched this and I have to say that Cal comes out looking just fine. I have always been a Cal fan, though; so maybe I'm biased. I never saw any of what happened at UMass or Memphis falling on him. That's just me. I like having him in the SEC. he seems to care about his players. Good 30 for 30, I thought.
