If bama beats Georgia and Georgia beats tennessee, then what happens? Tennessee will make the conference championship over bama, if they win will bama jump uga and make the playoffs? If they lose will bama make it in over tennessee? Is there any scenario all 3 make it in (pretty sure the rest of the country would be super pissed if this happens)

You are the smartest of posters are you.

The only way Alabama beats UGA is if we play them in Atlanta for the conference championship.

Oh, I thought they were going to play this year. My bad.

So does tennessee need 2 loses for bama to get in the CCG?

so the only way bama beats uga is if they make the conference championship game, but Tennessee will make it over bama which is impossible. boy you know football!

Highly unlikely.

It would take absolute chaos among the other P5s. All but one P5 conference champ would need to be 2+ losses for it to be considered.

We better worry about State and take it one game at a time....

Tennessee plays in the East.

Bama is in the West.

West champ plays East champ in CCG.

Alabama needs to win out and whatever happens with UT or UGA has no effect on Alabama going to Atlanta and playing for the conference championship.

Very doubtful. It would take a lot of chaos in the other conferences. If it did happen, then the next season would be an expanded playoff, without a doubt.

Oh wow I thought tennessee was in the west. Guess I should have done more research before posting.

I’m a texas fun, but I follow the sec after the big 12

Nope not at all. UA wins out including the SECCG and we are in the playoffs. Whoever we beat in the SECCG game should be undefeated they will probably also be in the playoffs.

For UT to make the playoffs one of 3 things need to happen. Win out including the SECCG. Win out regular season but not the SECCG. Or hope if UGA is playing UA in Atlanta they win and UT might slide in. Worse case for UT is drop game to UGA and UA beats UGA in Atlanta which UT does not go to the playoffs.

Now as a UA fan I not hopeful UA makes it to Atlanta at this point.

If Tennessee loses to uga and bama wins out the regular season (which they probably will), I think regardless of the outcome of the CCG they have a good chance of getting in still. They can sneak past the loser of the sec championship, especially if there is only 1 undefeated team at the end of the season (Ohio state or Michigan probably)

If Ole Miss or TN wins the SEC and UGA and Bama only have 1 loss I can see it

What I would like to see happen is this:

Bama runs the rest of the table.
UGA beats UTK (a very close game)
Bama beats UGA in SEC Championship.

That will put the playoffs trying to decide if UTK or UGA get into the playoffs since I doubt they will put all 3 and Alabama would be a given since they won the SEC.

Only if UA is losing the team in Atlanta. If UGA beats UT in a few weeks and drops the game to Alabama in Atlanta UT will not jump UGA. UT should still make a NY6 bowl which is better than the Music City Bowl. So they will have that.

A non-conference champ is not getting in over a P5 conference champ if the loss records are equal.

It would take a lot of Chaos, a very good loss or one that key injury affected, and all but one other P5 Conference champ to have 2+ losses for it to be considered. Even then, 3 SEC teams (all who would have played each other at at least once if Bama and Uga are in ATL) would be shite for national ratings, so very highly unlikely

I agree 100% with this.

However, at this moment in time that is happening.

PAC12 is still a wreck. Big 12 is a wreck. ACC is still weaker than water (Although I doubt Clemson loses twice) and B1G is Ohio State and Michigan. I could see both losing at least one game and possibly 2.

Highly unlikely, but wow. I think it would be great!

A great thing happened for the SEC early Sunday morning when Southern Cal lost. Now Clemson needs crap the bed.
