I like this. You play everyone in the conference much more frequently. And don’t get years where Bama draws Vandy while LSU draws Georgia.

Right now I don’t even feel like ole miss is even in the same conference as the East.

My response was to DeepRig saying 9 conf. games. That's how UGA couldn't play anybody outside Sanford Stadium that wasn't an SEC member or GT.

Sign me up. Our current scheduling rotation is a complete joke.

As Ive pointed out on here before, A&M joined in 2012 (along w/Mizzou obviously.) If you were a first grader that year, you will be in college when the Aggies play their first ever game in Lexington as a member of the SEC. 2025.

That is absolutely unfrickingacceptable.

This will never happen because it would hurt the SoS for the west teams. There’s no benefit to any West team to go this route.

recenetly, yes. It was just a few years ago that the east was better.

I like the Pod scheduling, not necessarily our 3 permanents. Personally, I'd prefer if it was just the 3 closest SEC schools to Gainesville - UGA, Auburn and South Carolina.

Florida sold out their stadium (including secondary ticket markets) against Auburn for the first time in 12 years.

I think you misread a stat somewhere, I assure you that was not our first sellout since 2007. We had a 137 consecutive game sellout streak until 2012. Going back just to last year I know LSU was a sellout.

Will never happen
Bama won’t allow it when they avoid Florida and uga every year

I do think some tweaks are in the works though
LSU ad Woodward said as much at a recent q&a I attended

Going to 9 game conf schedule is needed and would solve some of it

I’m all for something like playing 9-conference games and no out of conference games.

After nine games rank them 1-64 and play a tournament.

The teams that lose the first round could play the loser of who they were going to match up with. Everybody is guaranteed 11 games.

Two teams will play 15 games, which they play now.

It's due to 1 of the legendary rivalries in college football... Deep South's Oldest Rivalry.

UGA/GT, UF/FSU, UK/UL, & USC/CU will disagree on playing their games!

nobody gives a shite. Right up there with Alabama beating Tennessee every year. It's an impediment to what the OP is wanting.

Apparently these 4 DO give a shite!

Don't blame us for also having rivalry games OUTSIDE the SEC.

I don’t have an answer for the current terrible scheduling cycle, but I too want to get back to a more geographically and traditional schedule. UGA and UF going to Missouri every other year doesn’t make sense. Same with AU going to Arky and TAMU.

Then play 8 Conference games and 1 OOC and then ranked them 1-64 like I said.

That’s simply not true. I’m old enough to remember LSU’s 03 natty. In that time frame the West is 13-4. Since Mizzou joined in 2012 the West is 7-1
