Speaking as a born and raised Louisiana Southerner, I remember seeing LSU play (beat) SoCarolina when you were an independent, and that was great enough. You were never one of our cupcake games, though. And then when you became one of the SEC schools, it was even better. I think the SEC did good bringing y'all in!

You have to give South Carolina credit for dominating Clemson in women’s sports.
Of course on the other hand.... Clemson dominates them in men’s sports and it’s not even close.
But ask any gamecock fan and in their minds it’s equally the same.
Typical water cooler talk in South Carolina goes like this....
Clemson: we beat your arse in everything. Literally everything.
Gamecocks: anger!!!!! We dominated y’all in women’s basketball!!!!
Clemson: I’m embarrassed for you.
Of course on the other hand.... Clemson dominates them in men’s sports and it’s not even close.

But outside of football. I say we have you in the other two.
For men’s hoops we own the head to head and have the best finish among us.
For Baseball (another sport i don’t follow) we do have 2 titles

Notice those grey bumpy things between Lexington and Knoxville on one side. Yet traveling up and down along the yellow area has much smaller bumpy things.
Old L&N ran primarily from Louisville (where headquartered) to Nashville
Notice how this map from the 50's covers the SEC pretty well and not the old ACC
Notice the really dark lines where the main routes were.
Notice how close Athens is to Atlanta!
In the old days of rail probably had a dedicated light rail between the two the way you have puddle jumpers today.
Not sure how old you are but I remember it was a big deal before the interstates to go east if family did not live near a rail station.
