...... entered into a pact with The Flagship University of the Great Palmetto State of South Carolina and her legion of fans.

It was a great day - Gamecock fans will always be appreciative. Today we're some of the proudest members of this conference ... and we always will be.

This is a conference for true born and bred Southerners - there is no other like it and never will be. It is one of a kind. Thanks guys.

You know, I've posted this same post every other year for years, even under my old username.

It wasn't until Mizzou came into the conference that it wasn't taken for what it is ... a thanks to the rest of the conference, the ones that were here 28 years ago, the original crew ... of true born and bred Southerners.

You yankee fricks have never really grasped that young man ... and I doubt you ever will. You just don't get what it's all about.

::::::: sighhhhhhhhhh :::::::

Yankee fricks will frick up everything. We were in this conference before you were born and we'll be here long after y'all have gotten the boot. SJW shitstika hands-up don't shoot that.

Y'all have no respect for anything sacred.

Y’all ran away from Clemson a long time ago and then got lonely being an independent.

Now y’all miss the independence.

lulz ... wtf?

Sometimes I think if bullshite could fly this place would be a goshdamn airport you dumbass.

The SC-Clemson rivalry is the oldest continuous rivalry in the Southeast and I'm pretty sure the fourth oldest continuous uninterrupted rivalry in the country.

We didn't run from anyone asshat.

Now we miss the Independence? How old are you, six, seven?

You guys were a great addition.

We always thought of SC as honorary members way before you joined.

It was a great day. I remember exactly where I was, where I was standing, who I was there with and from where we heard the news ... like yesterday.

It was a great day. Very proud of that day. We endeavored to leave the ACC ... Paul Dietzel always promised us that if we would roll the dice, get out of the ACC and follow his lead, one day we would get in ... and God Bless that man, he was right.

Loved that man. We should build a statue of him in his honor because had he not set the stage we would have never been in the position to do it when the time came.

ETA: Vince Dooley helped us a lot as well when the time came. Another great man. He pushed hard for us at the time. So did Jeremy Foley ... as an assistant AD at UF I think he was at the time. He helped walk us through the process I was told.

Yeah we ran away from clemson to continue playing them every year.

Just putting your ignorance out there front and center eh? Both clemson and South Carolina planned to leave because of the unfair treatment of both by the North Carolina schools. We followed through, they didn’t.

Been a solid addition that added to an already strong athletic conference.

Of the four newest members, South Carolina makes the most sense and fits the most for obvious reasons.

Arkansas is okay. A&M is a stretch. Mizzou is the odd duck.

I'm really okay with all four, if Mizzou weren't gonna be in the Big 12, the B1G makes the most sense. They probably don't stack up with most of those schools academically, but geographically, it fits.

A&M made perfect sense with the Big 12. It's where almost all of their rivals are. But if they had to leave, SEC would be the second best choice.

Arkansas is similar to A&M, but geographically, being on the edge, but not in Texas, it's okay to squeeze them in.

I can understand USC, arkansas, texas a&m, but geography wise I don't understand missouri - its a shame that they don't play kansas anymore. just like texas vs a&m, Oklahoma vs Nebraska - I miss those rivalry games.

That letter still incites the fury of hell in clemson fans. We will forever owe the SEC a massive debt of gratitude for giving us the honor of being able to Lord that over their heads no matter how bad they whip our asses.
