If any fanbase needs to come down to earth is LSWHO ? No one wanted to go down to that swampy hellhole until Saban came along and now you hope a New Englander who's never spent time in the SEC in any capacity saves you.

Would be surprising if he left. If he does, I would guess it wouldn’t be LSU.

Then you don't know his history.

He's been happy in Louisiana at several previous stops, and Kelly knows he screwed up not keeping him.

Well, he just signed a contract extension last week and is set to make $1.1 for 2023 so I assume he got a raise from that. Anything can happen of course, but he certainly isn’t unappreciated at MU.

1.1 million? We just fired a guy that was making 2.1. You better get your checkbooks out if you want to keep him. LSU going to offer him 2.3.

I'd say you're right. Drink seems to have an eye for talented coordinators. He did make one bad hire but can't remember the name.

Steve Wilks was bad I guess. Couldnt connect well with college kids but he is an outstanding NFL coordinator.

Here's a post from Blake's wife when he was hired as LB coach at LSU 3 years ago:

I can’t even tell you how good it feels to be back in purple and gold!!! I am so proud of my husband and all the hard work he puts in every single day. To live near friends any family and be a part of the LSU athletic program again has always been a dream. I cannot wait to see everyone and eat that delicious Louisiana food I have missed dearly! We are so thankful for the lifelong friendships we made in Miami and our favorite getaway spot in the Keys.
We’re coming home...Geaux Tigers!

Summary: mamma calling == not good for Mizzou
