I wouldn't have a problem with this, but as I've said in other threads - seeding should work actively to avoid rematches of regular season conference games no sooner than the semis.

Yea, I think we'll eventually get to this model. At least I hope so -- it'll certainly make it a VERY interesting time of year for CFB fans. This type of model is how you help grow the sport even further, imo.

They do at the FCS, D2 and 3 levels.

If you expand to 24 you will end up having to expand the automatic bids to other leagues (which is probably reasonable), like the FCS does.
CUSA, Sun Belt, MAC, American, MWC, P12 will either all get their champ in or you say that the top 4 ranked champions get in or something like that.

16 is perfect. 16 play one extra, 8 play two extra, only 4 play three extra and only 2 play four extra.
The current bye system is the travesty.

why? do you not think the 4 team playoff was better than the BCS? Do you not think the 12 team has made cfb even more exciting now? 14-15 teams and fanbases still with the dream of making and winning a playoff...how can that be bad?

He is wrong about many things. ....The people that said the playoffs would ruin college football are idiots. Almost EVERY sports is settled in a playoff format.

Nope 12 is enough because it maintains the importance of the regular season but you aren’t sunk automatically for a loss

I personally have been pro 12 team playoff. Gets rid of the opt outs
