Is Johnny Musso in the college hall of fame?

quote:yeah. he played right next to shawn andrews on our line. OT and TE combo from hell right there.
Jason Peters. Isn’t he the guy that the ESPN announcers always talked about who would eat like 15 Big Mac’s in one sitting?

Not any of those names outside of namath, Eli and snake really jumped out at u in college.
You're way off base here. Dwight Stephenson was as good or better at his position in college than anyone on the list.

1. Surely they'll revamp the requirements in time to get these players, and numerous others from other conferences, into the HoF
2. Kinda shocking the names of the players who beat out these guys for the AA selections. Most of them have been forgotten over time

Jackie Walker didn't have a good NFL career, but he absolutely belongs on this list. 2x All American + Sophomore All American. 254 tackles (tackles not recorded in 1969, and freshmen weren't eligible in 1968) 6 forced fumbles, 11 interceptions, 5 interceptions returned for TDs (still an NCAA record), and at least 5 blocked FG/PATs. Also the first African American Team Captain in SEC history. And he was gay.
How the frick, especially given the gay friendly sports media of today, is Jackie Walker not in the College football HOF? It's mind bottling

Yup, inducted in 2000. Consensus All-American in 1970 and 1971.

He was on the ballot in 2014, but did not get voted in.
quote:
Members of the National Football Foundation, as well as athletics directors, coaches and members of CoSIDA are responsible for the final vote induction into the Hall of Fame:
CoSIDA - College Sports Information Directors of America - President during 2013-2014 - Shelly Poe, Auburn
NFF - President during 2014 - Steven Hatchell - Former Big 12 Commish, SWC Commish, etc
Sorry, the site is notoriously vague and the ballots are almost assuredly secret.
If we're giving a "benefit of the doubt" scenario, then it is possible that Derrick Thomas being on the same ballot overshadowed Walker... but then the question of why two men, who played over a decade apart from each other, are on the same ballot to begin with has to be asked.

Thanks, dude was a Hoss, but still my favorite Tide player was Wayne Wheeler. I think he was named AA also and as a wide receiver in a wishbone offense!!

Tennessee had this tight end before him though, maybe 96ish, 98ish, I can't remember. Big black kid that could run .... I mean he was huge, fast and had moves. Seems like I remember him getting himself kicked-off the team though for behavioral issues ... wish I could remember his name. The two times I saw him play I told friends he was the best college TE prospect I had ever seen in my life. Had it all. Hands, balance, speed, footwork and ran great routes and he had to be 6-5 250 at the time ... would knock people down blocking. Wonder whatever happened to that guy
I'm guessing Dustin Moore or possibly Antron Peebles

Man that last gif brings up memories. One of my best friends is Kevin's nephew. I actually went to that show with him. The lady that slaps the guy is Kevin's mother, my friend's grandmother (his grandfather is the guy beside her in the jersey). I spent a lot of time growing up at her house when we were kids. They were great people.
