Sucks to lose, but that was a very physical low scoring game with players getting hurt. Not the worst thing to put this regular season behind us and focus on March Madness next week.

The only real threat for the #1 overall is Duke or maybe Florida. Florida could get it with an SEC title. Duke has the Flagg injury and no quality wins left to play so not sure they have a chance.
I could actually see it being beneficial for AU to not get the overall #1. They need a wake-up, not friendly travel to Atlanta. Playing very average ever since the SEC banner got hung.

Duke will be the second #1 behind Auburn but even if they were the first they’d take Newark because they have a bigger fanbase there.

Florida has 9 quad 1 wins and Auburn has 16. Florida could win this tournament and have 5 less quad 1 wins.
There is no shot of them overtaking Auburn.
Auburn fans have been buying tickets in the South regional (myself included) for weeks now and the ticket prices are through the roof because of the demand. You want that home court advantage.

Atlanta is 100 miles closer to Duke. Still think it comes down to knowing the SEC has to be their 2 seed in their bracket.
