7 of 8 teams in the CWS are top 16 seeds
1.Tennessee (50 -11)
2. Kentucky (40 -14)
3. Texas A&M (44 -13)
4. North Carolina (42 -13)
8.Florida St. (42 -15)
10.NC State (33 -20)
12.Virginia (41 -15)
?? Florida (28-27)
What would UF have been seeded? Like somewhere 35-40?
Do they even do a 1-64?
*Records are at the time of tournament selection.

3 Seed equals 33-48 and they weren't one of the "last 4 in" so 33-44.

You done remember that fiasco? They were straight robbed.

So it's 100% guaranteed they would've beaten Miss St?
And no, they weren't "robbed."

Florida been there, tradition gives them the edge over aTm.
That’s the game to watch.
Gonna be some damn good baseball.

It's a big field where fly balls go to die...

If I'm on any of the other 7 teams in Omaha, I sure wouldn't want to play Florida.

UF played CWS teams 12 times in the regular season.
Damn.
Damn.

I wonder who the #5 seed was? Embarrassing to be the best seed to not make it to Omaha

Nah, if you make the post season on the reg, you are gonna have some slip ups. We all have them. In 2021 UF hosted a regional and promptly lost to the 4 seed South Florida 5-3, and then to the 3 seed South Alabama 19-1.
Miami was the 2 seed and got bounced too. South Florida and South Alabama played in the region final.
But I feel your pain sir as we have all been there. Arkansas definitely had a good enough team to get back to Omaha.

Interesting the way the brackets set up a possible rematch between Virginia and Tennessee.
Back in 2021, the Vols got upset in the first round by the scrappy Cavaliers, 6-0. I know a few Vol fans who would love to return the favor. If Tennessee gets past FSU and UVA bests the Heels, we could see that play out.
Should be fun! Both Tennessee and Virginia can smack the ball well, so defense would likely decide such a contest.

So there was a little bit of a leak today..
On Bobby Burton’s (long time Texas reporter on Rivals/247 etc) podcast, he asked another host if he had heard anything on Pierce in the last few minutes.. and the comment sounded like he had heard something.. than he doubled down and said we would talk about it later tonight if something happens..
A couple of things..
1) Burton is legit.
2) Something is brewing.. and that tells me a deal likely is done if Pierce gets fired.. just the way CDC normally operates, but perhaps Pierce is causing problems
3) LSU landed a big portal transfer today, as did A&M. That takes them off the board imo..
4) If it happens now, I’m still leaning to Bakich, but Canham or Godwin could be in play too..
5) If it’s a coach still playing, I’m leaning to Brian O’Connor at UVA or Vitello or Elander at TN.

Should I set my sights on the 68 year old NC State coach?
Schloss? Sully? A FSU alum?
It could be Mingione or Forbes, but both of those guys have some question marks, and I don’t know much about them. I like Elander more based on what I know..
