TV just said left foot was inside. That’s the rule.
It was barely inside.

Was on the line, actually veered more towards the outside when he got hit.

So after UGA I pointed out that Messina, Petry, Casas were 1 for 9 and had to do better, but 7,8,9 were like 6 for 11.
Today Messina(French), Petry,Casas are again 1-9. Thats our hitting issue right now. Those 3 are just hitting like shite. 2-18 for the tournament

The bad part about it though is the throw wasn’t even close. If he is running a foot outside the line the ball still hits him

If that's truly the rule, I'm sure its one of those calls that COULD be made on any play (like holding in football), but nobody actually does because it's weak af

It's ok boys USC should have been number 1 back in March though

They keep reiterating that he “can” be called out meaning the call could and should have gone in LSU’s favor after reviewing the play.

back in march we played like it, kind of like yall did before Auburn/Miss State . Funny how baseball works with slumps and such. Wake has been the only consistent team

especially when the throw is a foot right of the base.

What is Wake's injury status?

Wasn’t by accident.

but where was the runners body because thats what matters. it could be argued that the throw was forced to go wide because the runner was inside the basepath.
I didnt see the play but it seems like thats the argument from the umpires

Much easier to do when you're not even in the top 30 strength of schedule

that would be a level 10 play by the catcher.

Bad rule, it would be that you will be require to either run outside the line or have your left foot touch the line every stride
I honestly never no they could call you out if your whole left foot was inside the foul line, I assumed you just had to keep it inside the path of the base

I am not disagreeing with you. Poncho wanted to take a pop shot, so I reminded him that even LSU has through a slump.
Wake has 3 dudes starting that are solid, and their hitting has been great. Both LSU and SC have lost starters/relievers and fielders.
props to wake for staying healthy
